I once saw a poll in #Destiny asking if Destiny should be on PC, 80% voted no it shouldn't. I personally can't think of a good reason why it shouldn't, if you were part of that 80% can you please justify your "no" with a mature and informed comment.
Update: I'm pretty sure now that a fair amount of the 80% were "console war" dull retarded 8 year olds that I see in #Destiny quite often (like Exitwounds79), but some of them have their reasons to vote no.
Update 2: extra emphasis on the "mature and informed comment."
Update 3: I'm not a biased PC fan boy, I want your opinion, hence I created this thread.
Update 4: Don't tell me to buy a console, I have a console, this is not what this threads about.

18 RepliesI believe that making Destiny a PC game would benefit the gaming community. Honestly there is no reason for people to say that Bungie shouldn't make a PC version. But if I had to come up with one reason why Destiny maybe shouldn't be produced on PC is perhaps because adding another version of the game for Bungie to work on would decrease the quality of the game for all of the platforms. More labor would have to go into another platform which would prevent the developers from fine-tuning Destiny on the 4 consoles it's already being made for.

It was 80% no for a reason. If this fanbase really wanted a computer version of Destiny, it would be 80% yes. You want it to be made for PC? Show Bungie its worth their time.
-
There are plenty of reasons, just none I have heard that are good. I am a console gamer, but I think it would be great to get it on PC, as long as it's not cross platform with PC.
-
I for one usually don't care whether it's on PC Xbox or PlayStation The only reason why I wouldn't want it to come out for PC is because there are a lot of players that have this PC master race mindset and when they do get the game they want then they complain about the Consoles holding the game back even thought it came out on the consoles first.

Theres no good reason

-
It will be on PC I promise you that. Spring 2015
-
Because you asked why
-
Cause PC gets most of the good MMO's and rpg's, consoles have shooters, we deserve some games that don't need to be on PC, plus we wouldn't hear the end of it from the rest of the PC "master race"
-
I personally hate when a console game receives a PC port, modding communities and PC players dive into the game and ruin any and all mystery to a game within days of receiving it.
-
console need a good game to come too thats cant be for pc

The idea that destiny can come to pc is there. The cursor you use to select menu options, the simple interface in tower. I mean it's possible, and not a bad idea. It would make bungie more money in the long run. But! It will be a while before it hits, I heard 2015, but could be farther away. Be patient I guess.

Edited by Orin: 9/4/2014 1:18:17 AMlol. I asked the Gigantic subreddit if Gigantic should be on consoles, as well as PC. I got some of the most hate-filled, bile-spewing, derogatory opinions there. The worst part was, they were convinced they were right. PC fanboys are possibly the worst of them. Not because they are hardcore fans. We all are. But because they act so elite about it, and try to cover their BS stories up with made-up "facts" and pure hyperbole and conjecture (all the while trying to come off as "holier than thou"). I can not emphasize enough the loathing I feel for all PC elitists out there. Fanboys in general are annoying, but there is something special about the way a PC fanboy will write you an essay on how much he is better than you, and that you should feel bad for being a weak link in a world that should be run by PC users. It really urks me. That said, I hope Destiny comes to PC at some point, because unlike PC fanboys, I believe all good games deserve to be played by everyone, regardless of their preferred platform. PC is great, there is no denying it, but to pretend like there isn't any competition, and that anyone who prefers anything else is a mere pretender is, quite frankly, pathetic.

I believe many things, and the biggest reason why Destiny should not come out for pc would be it hindering the game. If bungie had to focus on another completely different platform, i could Defenetly see the game decreasing In quality. Why? Because it would increase the price and if not decrease the quality of the game it would take much more time and money to make.
-
It is not on PC (yet) for one very important reason: to sell consoles. Sure, they can make good money on PC, but Sony and Microsoft are paying even more to keep it on consoles.

I think that bungie was only thinking about it being played on a console. Everything you need to use in the game is right at your fingertips. There is no need for it to be on pc. If you had a lot of skills that needed hotkeys, then yes, pc would be amazing. But this is not the case. It's made to feel like a console game. I believe the experience would suffer on a pc
-
3 RepliesWhile I imagine the game will look much, much more visually stunning on a PC. Personally, I would never play it on the PC. Due to all the cheaters, hacks, and mods.
-
give me a good reason why people say "pc master race" and call everyone else "console peasants", if they have to beg and moan for every big console game to be ported.
-
Cause pc people are weird
-
I would be worried about the influx of PC mods. It seems every game to hit PC gets modded through the roof. My Little Pony themed Skyrim anyone? For a game like Destiny, it would diminish what Bungie/Activision are trying to achieve. Other than that, I don't see any reason it shouldn't hit the PC.

One day, the people in #Destiny will learn to read.
Become Literate.
Give me a reason why it should

Edited by Citizen: 9/3/2014 8:45:50 PMBecause developing for PC is different for developing for a console, the coding is different. It already took time for Bungie to learn PS4/PS3 coding since this is the first game they've done for the PS3/4. If they had to learn PC too this game wouldn't be out until around 2015.

1 ReplyLevelfap Gaming. Nuff Said. The LAST thing we need is Levelfap spouting off his great knowledge of everything FPS.

Destiny is made by Bungie. Bungie is partnered with Activision. Activision partnered with Sony (for Destiny). Sony wants to sell consoles. Destiny moves PS4s. Using partner influence, Sony will prolong PC release as long as possible. This is because Sony is losing money on just about everything they make besides for the PS4.
