Excellent gameplay, good story (though I'd dearly love to know what happened to Delta afterwards) but you need to read Karen Traviss's novels (up 'til [i]The Slab[/i], anyway) to understand what happened between [i]Gears 2[/i] and [i]Gears 3[/i]. Still, better than [i]Judgement[/i].

9/10 Expands upon the solid gunplay of previous Gears of War gunplay while finally fleshing out its main characters and story. Weapon variety is broader than ever, graphics are dazzling, multiplayer and hoard mode are expanded. Fantastic overall package.
