So we can all agree that Halo 4 was a let down, How does that make you feel about Halo 5?
Topic says it all, I don't see the point in getting excited about 5.

1 ReplyNo, we can't. I wasn't let down by it at all, aside from the campaign gameplay. Everything else in pre release made it [i]perfectly evident[/i] Halo 4 was going to deviate from Halo's roots in terms of multiplayer.

My dad is 71 and he's been playing Halo CE since it hit Xbox. He's preorders every Halo title and when we played Halo 4 we never finished it. We have been up and down Halo 1 2 and 3 ODST and Reach on every difficulty. This is the first time he's not pre ordering a Halo game and I can't blame him. I'm not. I'm more interested in TitanFall, the Division and Destiny than Halo 5. I know the commercials are gonna be spectacular and it's going to look great, but I don't care I'm not buying it. The community hasn't changed and no matter what happens or if they fixed everything the game will be ruined by balance like the Thruster pack being nerfed or vehicles being the same damn thing from 2007 or worse something shows up and it's awesome and then gets neutered because you can't have that in a halo game. You guys can keep it. I'm off to try other things in 2014.

The only downside so far to Halo 5 for me is that its on Xbox one.

I think that 343i realized what they did wrong and will fix it, but that is still not enough for me to want to get the xbox one,

I think we'll have to wait to see. People are basing off what they think halo 5 will be like off of halo 4. See some actual gameplay of halo 5, and i'll be interested to say the least.

I'mma give Halo 5 a chance. I sorta liked the changes they made in 4, but not all of them. But considering that they're still working their best to fix it up, that says something to me.

My feelings? After the Halol 4 debacle, I don't think it'll sell even half as well as 4 did. With lower sales and population, if it still bombs in popularity like 4 is doing to it's own online population, then this "new trilogy" may never finish.

I went in expecting the worst, as a precaution. Came out mildly pleased. However, I still hate that they felt the need to change the well known and established appearances of everything. Was one of the major off putting things to me that still stands out and bugs me the most.

H4 was not a let down. If you didn't expect an even further departure from the original Halo formula then you are an idiot.

I think they'll improve. I, personally, did not like H4 quite much, i fell like im playing some futuristic CoD, armors are just ugly, and endless things i just didnt like. They need to watch the H2 campaing and H3 multiplayer. My opinion.

I think that Halo 4 was just a test. and to revive the fans, they are going to do a lot of throwback stuff in Halo 5. To make people buy the new consoles.

Campaign is where it's at. I want to see Chief finally die in Halo 6.

1 ReplyI liked 4. Anyway, it's like you trying something with no prior experience. You wouldn't like it for people to criticise you for what boils down to lack of experience. Would you want people to give you another chance and learn from feedback on how to improve?

I'll get Halo 5 for the campaign at least, just like I did 4. MM is a whole nother issue. Didn't really care for it, but it was still way better than reach.
