Should Gays be allowed to adopt?
I completely support allowing gays equal rights with marriage. I see no reason why they shouldn't get married and I consider anyone who thinks otherwise ignorant. With adoption, I am a little on the fence. Yes, I know many homosexuals are great parents, and no, I don't have any worries about "turning the kid gay". I do however think that kids should have a right to one mom and one dad. There are just some things you need to learn from a female role model, and some from a male.
What are your thoughts on gay adoption?

You're going to have to do a little better than " there are just some things". What are those things? Why are they so important? Why is a male or female role model required to teach it?

There are some people who claim they are afraid of them being bullied by other kids. To them I say we shouldnt restrict certain people just because there are shitty parents out there who raise assholes.

A parent is a parent, they're either bad or good at it. I'd rather a child have two parents who actually put in the effort and time just to become the child's adoptive parents than one parent or a poor mother and father. Some children have one parent and get on fine in life, others have a mother and a father and can't wait to get away from them. I knew plenty of the latter. All that really matters is the quality of parenting and care, and that is something that does no rely upon the gender of either parent.

1 ReplyOf course it should be allowed. It wouldn't make sense if they weren't. As Americans we should all be entitled to rights. I might cringe at the thought of two guys making out but that doesn't mean their life should be miserable.

I think a multi-gendered set of parents is more healthy, but it's a matter of equality in my opinion, so I support gay adoptive parents. I'm just glad these kids are getting homes.

Single parent homes? It think they should a lot of foster children would so good to be adopted

What about single parent homes then? Gay parents are fine, no one group of people is better suited to do it than another, it all depends on the individual.
