Will Destiny be Better Than Halo?
I am a huge Halo fan, but I also like free roaming/ free roaming with friends. Do you think Destiny will "dominate" Halo?

Only the sales will answer that question. But one thing that's for sure is that both of these have/ will have an incredibly innovative impact on the FPS genre.

For me nothing will beat Halo, but I am very excited for Destiny.

I think that destiny can be better than halo if, and only if, they do it right.

I truly hope they are equally successful... Though Destiny will probably have the edge in sales since it's not an exclusive title. Of course, raw sales aren't the only way to judge a game's success. For me though, I'm dreading the day when I have both Destiny and Halo 5 (or whatever they call it) in my hands and have to choose! O_O

I think Destiny will rise the ranks and stand beside the original Halo's that Bungie produced. They will each hold the top rank of their own respective genre.

Yes. The way 343 is going with the painfully linear campaign I doubt halo 5 will even be playable. Open world FTW

So far, it seems Destiny is tailored to my tastes exactly. But Halo is Halo, and will always have a very very special place in my heart.

There will probably be different aspect of each game that are better than the other and in the end it will all come down to personal opinion anyway. I think that Destiny will surpass Halo in character development and character investment. I think it will be able to engage the player more with the implementation of RPG elements. But I do not think that it will dominate Halo, they will both have their rightful place. Now if you want to talk about Destiny going up against Halo 5 well, I guess we will just have to wait and see. H5 will be the first Halo game I won't be playing because I'm getting a PS4.

1 ReplyI personally believe that you can't compare the two games because destiny will be multiplayer based where halo is more storyline based. But my personal pick is destiny it brings a certain aspect to multiplayer that was never there for any bungee games (working together). But until the game comes out who knows

Yet it was a narrow slice of a much larger world. People still cry about Reach being a Lore Breaker. Heck Blizz did it with WoW. Also i want to note i love all my Bungie made Halo's Back to my point Destiny is not Halo as many will try to relate it to the makers of halo. It looks generically halo like but far from it. So far we know only tid bits Bungie has shown us. Heck even Deej taunts us a bit at times. Have faith in that bungie will topple Halo. Indications that Halo is not doing so well. Halo 4 while good in some respects fell short in some areas compared to past Halo games due to 343i rushing the game and they do not really test things or get feed back from gamer's. Whats the point if you do not get feedback from boots on the ground ? Second Milking of the franchise. Halo TV is coming out that might help as the Forward Unto Dawn series was a big success. Even still 343i has yet to put a face on its Halo brand. Lastly 343i i get the impression that 343i does not want to hear it any more and has shut down the communications lines. Destiny pluses i see why it will topple Halo. Open world with a new story and open world sandbox game play. Allowing you to play with millions of other players.(Multiplayer online) A story that develops as you play. Unlike halo you are not stuck in one squad not to say it was a bad thing yet the draw back is it was a narrow slice of that world. In Destiny the story unfolds as your guardian is the Hero. Teaming up with Other Hero's A new universe that is classified Mythic Sci-Fi. Marty,Paul and Mark making the music. Legions of Bugie fans who want Destiny and even those fence sitting gamer's out there. Lastly a Game Company that cares and shares.

Bungie's Halo games were the best of their time, but I have a feeling that Destiny will be the equivalent of the next gen.

And of course I'm talking about #bungie Halo vs Destiny not anything 343i makes.
