Medieval Hardware... once you get a feel for it... is fun > has your take changed?
outside of the bugs:
(100% totally bugged event)...
and I think if simply the Heron was a Kinetic slot glaive
...and some other weird choices (static rolls on arms weapons)
outside of this stuff...
It is very cool that you can restrict loadouts in PVP like that for a limited time event. Eventually... once I got the timing down of hardware and medieval weaponry... the mode became fun. I even thought the rumble mode was going to be medieval and did ok even against guns because it was hardware and event-folk in there.
I think hit registration for various bows can be looked at... and I still do not feel confident that power-level does not affect weapons in non-trials PVP > would love an official word on that. (for example power level 10 bow... should be fine vs 550 bow right?)... I also felt one-shot by certain users/bows (then I would hunt them by glaive melee which is crude but effective...def most kills this way, lol)
Overall - this aspect was refreshing.. it just goes to show all the unexplored facets of this game..
I think the event... the honoring of the weapon in a way... could be more realized with a specialized PVE kind of gauntlet that measures your accuracy/utilization of that weapon to a higher degree... making the event not just acquisition and focusing on certain hardware but also improvement/testing of that skill set in some objective/comparable manner between players...
What is your experience dropping into Medieval hardware? Anyone try Rumble?
