We desperately need more weapons added to the Champion mods pool

For some weird reason, every season the weapons to stun Champions change. This isn’t helping anyone. If you think it’s too much work to actually put one extra slot for every weapon, including exotics, to decide how we want to stun a particular Champion type, then you guys are just creating more work for yourselves to change it up every season. Stop making things harder than they need to be.

  • There's not just one mod.... we have the seasonal artifact ones, the seasonal mods, abilities. Everyone complaining is making the game harder on themselves not understanding how this works. Barrier use the handcannon, or radiant or volatile, the lightsaber, or use your favorite weapon with the seasonal mod on it. And thats just for barrier.

    • I think champions are played out now and nobody would really miss them if they were gone. I can live with them either way but I really really hate that champion mods use up your artifact points. The first column of the artifact should unlock at no cost so you can just have them all active.

      • Give us one mod that enables us to stun all champions with a kinetic or energy weapon… that’s the choice… would be so much better… then we can play our way…

        • No. What we need a way for one weapon type to work on ALL champions. Via a selection in the artifact, each weapon type listed work on all champions. That way you have 3 or 5 options in your build. Possibly a mod you place on the wepaon. The current system did not work when introduced, and seasonally with weapon changes it is bad or worse. This is another QOL fix bungie is ignoring, like the vault. If they do change it, the timing will be too little too late, just like the vault. NO one is returning to the game for 300 vault slots.

Stop making things harder than they need to be.[/quote] The only weapon mod I ever care about is barrier. Unstop and overload get stunned by abilities so easily.

          • Try those new mods, Opening salvo for Unstops and Kill shot for antibarriers ..they work on any weapon

            • We will see on final DLC this year. Depend what bungie offers. I think bungie focus D3 than not get what you want. I probably retire at end of season. I moved on,

            • Should be a Mod you put on the gun/weapon....but that would be too radical to let you choose what weapon works with what champion.

              • The answer is so much simpler than that, and dead simple to implement. Introduce universal weapon mods for all legendary weapons that allow you to make it unstop/overload barrier. Take your favourite loadout, mod the weapons to deal with required champs prior to mission and bingo! Keep exotic weapons intrinsic champ stuns.

                    • Or simply make them to be optional power boosts instead of must use, encouraging people to switch instead of shoehorning

                    • You can stun champions with more than just weapons and there are plenty of weapons with anti champion capabilities without the artifact. Theres even the seasonal mods, which, yes, are annoying to get, but they do make any legendary weapon into an anti champion weapon and some with the ability to stun 2 or all 3 types of champions with no issue.

                    • I'm all fine with the champ mods changing each season. I only wish we would go back to how the mods were a season or so ago. I like the mixed mod system. One was auto/smg and another was pulse/scout. I don't know why bungie went away from this.

                    • Here me out. Special weapons should do special things. Like intrinsic champ stuff based on frame/archetype. Things like waveframes can go under barriers. Area denial tick damage stuns overload. Hard hitting things like fusion, shotgun gets unstops. I dunno, lots of options there tho I think.

                    • Agreed! Some expanded repertoire would be very nice. I get there are synergies with debuffs and such to expand our options, but this season is just very counter intuitive and the options don’t seem to fit gameplay.

                      • Rotating the champion mods each season is fine and I think they got it right in EoF, with a pair of similar weapons in each perk rather than a single type. Unfortunately they made a significant backward step in many ways with the Renegades artifact and on top of that the new volatile weapon mods that can deal with champions are hidden behind multiple layers of incredibly grindy RNG. And then only the unstoppable one is worthwhile anyway.

                        • I say just get rid of champions they were a dumb addition in the first place just there to say they created a new enemy type to fight when they are just reskinned enemies that have a dumb gimmick to impede progress. Playing missions and content without champions actually feels like destiny

                        • It should be : Any primary = one champion type Any secondary= another type Any heavy = the remaining type This feedback has been given time and time again. And even without feedback, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to come up with the idea. But with bungo, trying to do something that makes -blam!- sense challenge : impossible 🙄
