Those are all really good suggestions but I think the last one might be one of the best. If there was drastically more loot in the ritual activities there would be more people chasing things that they get to decide on. Even with the recent complaints about perk weighting supposedly being an issue the people will sometimes be going for things that the majority of players aren't going for. So just like some other aspects of the game, like patrols and such, where they may not appear to be the main course there might be a lot of engagement potential there for people that really like to casually go at their own pace with the game. Not sure if it could be "all" of it but if it was a lot more and somehow you could focus in on what you wanted in general that would almost have to help with the player population. This game has a whole lot of people that really do need loot attached to the activities for them to want to engage with them regularly and there should be nothing wrong with that at this point.

  • It just doesn't make sense that these activities that are supposed to be played over and over again, has these very small loot pools and a ridiculously small drop rate too. With a bigger loot pool and a guaranteed drop, you are sure to feel like your time was worth it. There is nothing fun about getting some glimmer. The focusing part is easy, just do it like Onslaught has it, but make the focused item a guaranteed drop, instead of a higher chance. This would help if the loot pool had around 20 different guns and 20 different armor pieces.

  • That's very true but you do have to admit that you can see how a ton of loot could possibly get out of control. The way they do rewards is really complex and it could have consequences elsewhere or for production schedules and such. But I still think you're right that there could be so much more. And it wouldn't have to just feel like they dumped a dump truck worth of guns and armor on us. Someone said there was 7000 legendary weapons in this game the other day. And even typing that I'm like "wow" if its even close to that number. Sometimes it just feels like there should be more access if that's really how many weapons there are. The only real problem is people thinking the stuff just gets made overnight, but that could hopefully be overcome as well. Also, the "guaranteed drop" idea could really go a long way towards giving some of the people that live for crafting something to do besides crafting. And there's enough different perks now to make the grind for that take just as long! Just kidding.

  • Well when i said all of the weapons and armor, i wasn't talking about every single one that has ever been added to the game. More so to the ones that they are currently selling. The Legacy tab is full of items that can only be gained by trade. I guess the best option would be to remove most if not all of the weapons in the Legacy tab and fill up the loot pool with the newer releases. Give it a sort of fresh start, with a new system.

  • That last part will hopefully happen at least partially. Seeing all of that look new would be a good thing regardless of how many things are in there. And it would take much more thought and planning than what I'm doing right now. It just seems like having that be different, newer, and more would be a good way to go. The legacy weapons and ritual pool stuff has been improving but it does still seem like those weapons could be seen as something to play for maybe a little more than they do now.

  • A whole new loot pool and a targeting system, would be a great change in the next dlc. I do know that it is harder to do it then to just suggest it.

  • Yeah, and the only reason I brought up the 7000 weapons, or how many ever it is, was because someone mentioned it the other day and all I could think that with that many weapons and this much "real estate" across the game we should be having a blast even if there's not much heavy dlc stuff coming out. There's just really been a ton of stuff added to this game over the years.
