People either just leave regardless or go AFK/give up instead.
At least when someone leaves they can be replaced by someone who actually might contribute.

1 ReplyFirst rule of the crucible: If you want good team mates, BE a good team mate. Disclaimer: I'm a PvE guy, got thousands of hours in raids and dungeons, just do the PvP stuff when I'm on solo, and I'm not even good at crucible. Don't check my stats unless you need a good laugh. I know I'm painting a target on my back talking in the crucible locker room. Destiny has taught me the importance of managing my expectations. If I assemble a stacked team of try-hard veteran raiders and launch a raid, I expect to complete it, and to do it quickly. If I am teaching someone new, or have a mixed group of casuals and veterans I expect it will take longer. If I load into the crucible with random blueberries, I EXPECT them to act like randoms, with questionable loadouts, no map awareness, no cohesive strategy. The only person I have control over is me. So I set goals and expectations appropriately. Crucible Practice for Solos: -Pick someone on your team and be their battle buddy. Follow them, support them, clean up (or steal) their kills. Learn to move around the map with another person. -Pick a skill and focus on it. Map awareness. Hip firing. Retreat/evade at first tick of damage. -Focus on getting kills. Or on not dying. Or on the objective. Just learn to play deliberately, making decisions that are in service of your goal. -Team quitting out? Time to go Fox & Hounds, work on moving and evading, reading that motion tracker, try and get ONE kill before the duo/triple on the team hunts you down. Grab a OHK special so you get that one kill in, especially since they're rushing you now. This is the Mary Poppins School of crucible, "to every job that must be done, there is an element of fun... you find the fun and (snap) the job's a game!" You gotta figure out how you can have fun, or else quitting is all that's left. My homework for my next crucible play session is to try out the Braytech Werewolf I got (Lone Wolf/KC) and pick one of the Bygone's that's cluttering up my vault. Win or lose, Imma have some fun!

Edited by A_mo: 11/15/2024 9:45:41 PMAnd I'm sure they're replacement will be super happy that that happens. The problem with this game is that when it artificially makes the things that some people do someone else's fault it does that really really hard and it gets worse over time. If you quit for whatever reason the penalty makes that your fault and not other peoples'.

Quitting is so dumb now ! Every game is the same with the same people . You quit then go into another similar game . This is control now and will only get worse . Bungie are doing nothing with Destiny PvP …..so stop taking it so seriously and make the most of it .

15 RepliesEdited by Toots238857: 11/14/2024 4:32:42 AMBruh....it just accomplished it. It got you upset enough to come in here and complain about it. Here's a suggestion....STOP QUITTING. How on Earth and other planets that you and others who quit don't understand this ...is amazing. Stop quitting.

In trying to complete this week's challenge that requires crucible completions, I found myself being thrown into so many lop sided matches that were nearly over. It got to the point I started quitting because I wasn't gaining much progress and apparently you don't gain weapons exp for finishing the match since you joined in progress. In total I believe I was thrown into 5 or 6 matches in progress within an hour and after dropping out of 2 of these matches I got a warning about quitting.

Quitting takes the emotionally evolved and puts them in time out for quitting 3 matches within a half hour. Love or hate how PvP is… you should not be playing a game that you are quitting.

8 RepliesThe most players are quitting a match, because of bad quality matches. Many players would rather quit, then play against lag and waste 10-15 minutes in a broken match. But there's also a bright side of players quitting: a score 2-35 can suddenly become 95-70. Just because one or more players have left the match. Often the connection turns totally around and the losing team become Gods. And then you see someone from the other team leaving. Mostly those players don't leave because they are losing, but because the match quality for them became unacceptable.

21 RepliesWhy tf would anyone play control still? Do people not know it’s heavy sbmm? I rarely ever play it. I play the odd ball game modes which don’t have sbmm
