Not sure if anybody ever suggested this before but it's absolutely absurd, aside from MAYBE in the case of the artifice version, class items in the drop pool of bosses when dropping taking the chance of something else, especially weapons, to do so.
I spent about 4 hours straight farming the first boss of the Prophecy dungeon and I got for almost 2 hours only class items and boots from him. And the thing of course dropped with a 1800 item power. Not even 1810.
Class items do not have inherent status, abilities, and in most cases particular perks. The farm in this game is already bad enough without this.
Change this. Class items when dropping from bosses should never take precedence over other loot. PERIOD.

1 ReplyHonestly the Class Item should be on the same reward path as the Raid/Dungeon Emblem, dropping from the first time you complete the activity and can be pulled from collections. Once you have a single Class Item, there is no reason to have it ever drop again.

YES! Just yes, a 0 stat armor drop sucks to see after I have already aquired said class item. On another note: Seeing as class armor has 0 stats I would love to see them be pull-able from collections at any time, unlike the random rolled armor counterparts. Or just have every class item have a static +5 stat on them to whatever class ability they belong to. [i]Example; Hunters all cloaks +5 mobility, Warlocks +5 recovery, Titan +5 resilience.[/i]

I've said for years. Class items should be accompanying drops. Means it should drop with either a real armor piece or weapon..

Not just pve activities once we have the class item unlocked, they should never drop again. It's so beyond pointless that it's still in the loot pools.

For years I’ve been saying if a class item does drop in end game content like Dungeons and Raids, then make them special like artifice. Like add RNG so if you get a class item, it drops with +5 (pick a stat) BEFORE you master work it. Or there’s a .001 % chance it drops with an extra mod slot. Not like the stupid extra stat slot artifice armor has but a legit extra mod slot. or a 0001% chance it drops with 11 Energy slots instead of 10. Something to make the grind really worth it and if people complain “I’ve ran it a thousand times and still don’t have it.” Duh!! That’s the point. It has a super low drop rate. Keep grinding!!

Same here. Several boots in a row, then cloaks in a row, then ONE trash roll weapon, and so the vicious circle. Good thing is it only takes a couple mins per farm. But adding up it’s like 30 min per weapon on avg, worse than any farming in the game.
