Why, in god’s name, does D2 STILL need ps+?!
On the store, it says nothing about needing ps+. It’s a ‘free’ game, so it also shouldn’t need ps+, just like EVERY OTHER free game on the store.
1. It’s misleading, because you actually DO need ps+, even though the store says otherwise. Change it.
2. It’s a free game, and the ONLY free game to require ps+.
3. You gain absolutely nothing from this. Players and Bungie alike. It’s nothing but an inconvenience, and needs to be changed.
This reminds me why I quit Destiny 2 in the first place…

2 RepliesPlayers without PlayStation Plus can play any of the expansion campaigns they have purchased. You will need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play anything that requires other players such as strikes, raids, PvP modes, and dungeons. Apparently PlayStation Plus subscription is due to rise next year. You may want to renew early before the price increases.

If the game is TRUE free to play like apex,warframe,fornite,genshin ect. You don't need ps+ for playing online. Or if a game have monthly fee like FFXIV you don't need ps+ After October 1, 2019 Destiny 2 is only marketing way "free to play"

Where were you ten years ago when Destiny launched? Because then was the time to ask that question. Today everyone on PlayStation knows you need PS+ to play anything online.

Ugh. Bungie has it's issues and all, but this is a YOU problem. You chose to play on PS knowing full well they have that "plus" b.s., and then you come crying here because PS doesn't cater to your whims. You seem pretty self involved to me. Buy an Xbox. Or better yet, get a PC. I dumped PS in 2014 specifically because of the subscription cost and bought an Xbox. A few years ago I switched to PC. Newsflash: I don't care what PS and Xbox claim about their hardware capabilities, the truth is a halfway decent PC is a much smoother gaming experience. Of course, you might have to learn some things about setting up a PC for gaming.

It's Sony's subscription fee. You bought a PS and an annual usage fee. And to top it Sony bought Bungie. Regardless of what we deem reasonable, Sony won't cut one of its cash cows.

You can’t even solo farm a dungeon that you PAID for without PS+ Yet they allow you to MM in Deep Dives with or without it 🤷♂️ Make it make sense

It's hard to say why it's like that. Destiny is also not a free to play game for a lot of people. So it would be strange for some people to be paying for both and some neither. But it also probably wouldn't matter very much.
