This does not cover for Bungie Help announcements on known issues or updates when known issues are fixed such as the recent voice chat and solstice progress posts or when patch notes become available. The BungieHelp Twitter feed is a very useful all-in-one tool that users without a Twitter account cannot view. If there was perhaps an RSS Feed that relays BungieHelp posts for users to view somewhere, that would be a more preferred solution as it could also be tied to uses such as Discord bots to additionally spread the information into communities without the reliance on Twitter / X / Elon Musk's ego trip.

There's a known issues pinned post on the help forums for that. Also, patch notes are posted here.

Edited by Daemon White: 7/26/2023 2:29:35 PMYes, but where are announcements for when something is newly posted, mainly? I'm not sure there is an understanding to what the request is. Users being unable to view BungieHelp posts from one convenient location or being unable to receive real-time updates from the Help team and having to resort to checking multiple pages (News, Known Issues, and Server Status pages) is a step backwards. People do not want to have to manually check multiple locations on their own IN CASE there's a change, they want the news given to them from a convenient source when a change DOES happen.. This is (Most likely) more specifically related to utilizing discord / community bots in order to pull information from an API that can be easily relayed without additional input such as the Warmind.io / Charlemagne bot that gives updates on vendors and weekly rotation challenges without having to launch the game itself. If the update feed is only on Twitter, there are severe limitations to using it + costs for access. I'm not sure how much contact you have with Bungie devs themselves, but if possible, please let them know there is a request for an alternate realtime news feed due to Twitter's recent changes. Perhaps a new page or source here on Bungie.net that can utilize RSS Feeds to simply repost what is put on Twitter. Something that community bots are able to pull from in order to keep people updated wherever their preferred channel is.

Anyone can just make a Twitter account if it matters that much to them.

The only reason users cannot view twitter is because they are too lazy to look it up or make an twitter account which takes a minute at max, they want everything served to them on a silver platter.

This is a product I am PAYING MONEY FOR. Not a charity service you shill.

the epitome of entitlement right there, you pay for access to destiny, their communication isnt apart of that transaction
the epitome of entitlement right there, you pay for access to destiny, their communication isnt apart of that transaction
TIL support for a paid service isn’t part of the transaction 🤣
-
Or maybe they don't want to support twitter?
-
you dont have to support twitter to look at bungie help's page, just like looking at your banks webpage isn't supporting them,
-
you dont have to support twitter to look at bungie help's page, just like looking at your banks webpage isn't supporting them,
How to tell people you don't know how Twitter makes money. If you view tweets you're supporting Twitter.

Edited by Flex: 7/26/2023 9:58:08 PMlol, if you click on ads that twitter advertises that makes them money, if your so concerned about ads then use a add blocker they are free, just being on the platform does nothing for them, if it did then the 396 million active users would make elon rich in an instant. Which is not the case event remotely.
-
You absolutely do not need to click on the ads for Twitter to get as revenue. The ad just needs to be shown
-
hence why i said above to use a add blocker

Edited by Mara Sov’s Step Bro: 7/27/2023 8:53:31 AMWhich doesn’t stop Twitter from collecting and selling you data. Why is this so hard for you to understand that some people hate evil corporations and celebrity billionaire grifters and don’t want to support them?
-
oh wow they can sell a email that is already been sold by any number of other companies youve used the email for. twitter isn't a evil corporation lol, compared to the rest of the social media sites twitter is pretty damn good. Thing i dont understand is why yall want everything served on a silver platter for you, you villian-ize a company that bungie uses (social media wise) and because you dont want to use a free platform you complain on the forums and damand bungie fix you selfish problem

Elon Musk is a piece of scum and a malevolent serial grifter and I don’t want to support Twitter. Get this through your thick skull. Just like every time people say don’t support the game with your wallet? I don’t support Elon Musk and the toxic cess pool of a social media platform he was forced to buy because he’s an idiot and tried to pump and dump it like Doge and Tesla.

This is for expected downtime. It's never updated for emergency maintenance or when they need to extend the planned downtime. Bungie has to find a better way to communicate with the player base. There's free to play mobile games that do a better job at this.
-
Nah I've seen it updated for emergency maintenance before.

If this is the answer. Why does it take me to X when I click on the notification banner?
