Five of us finished the public event then fished until the dock dissapeared and only barely made it to the first quarter of the focus bar.
Legendaries are dropping like exotics used to and exotics were nowhere to be seen. It seems to me that you've "turned down" the algorithm and in my opinion, too far.

1 ReplyApparently not collecting any fish, doing the public event, and then collecting the fish after the new fishing spot appears boosts the new spot. Depends on legendary and above fish obviously. Haven’t tried it personally but might be worth a shot if you are struggling to get the fishing spot maxed.

-
100%. My main account had 7 exotics day 1, think I caught like 150 fish. This account, I'm 400+ fish & no exotics & barely any legendaries.
-
Supposedly, it’s barely worth the focus because the max boost might be only a .4%. Very much like Bungie to do that.
-
Well, if anything in the game becomes enjoyable, Bungie has to nerf it.

4 RepliesFishing sucks!!! This is FPS, looter shooter, NOT A SIM GAME! If I wanted to play a fishing game, I would buy a game dedicated to fishing. This side activity is a sham and is only meant to do one thing, increase the player time in game metric. A bit cynical, I know, but it adds nothing to core game mechanic and is total waste of time as it provides nothing you actually need to advance your character.
-
Another tip: stop trying to increase the meter to full. There is no point in filling the meter all the way up. You just want to see the words 'fish are in a frenzy', that's it. That means the pond is at its highest buff rate. Even with that said, getting the pond to the rate right below that works well too.
-
Are yall picking up the legendary fish? Asking cause it sounds like yall are not, which is why the meter is not going up. Legendary and exotic fish that are collected increase the meter, that's it.
-
7 RepliesDude, my fishing rng has been -blam!-, while people at the same dock catch a couple of exotics. But you're right, the focus meter barely gets full before a public event wipes it out. It should either fill faster, not disappear during a public event or, disappear but keep the same focus level as before the event.
-
99.99% of my "perfect catches" Are greens and blues...I've only caught 3 legendaries in who tf know how many fish I've caught over 3 days.
-
4 RepliesI enjoyed it for the first 10 minutes, now I can't be bothered with fishing
-
I actually noticed that too. They 100% nerfed fishing. You go to the zone the tacklebox tells you to go to and before you'd get 1 exotic per 100 casts or so and now its like 1/3rd of that.
-
1 ReplyThey definitely need to increase both the exotic rate and the legendary rate. I did not receive my first exotic until I had caught my 300th fish. At that rate I will complete all of the triumphs before I get my next exotic. I thought the legendary rate was supposed to increase when the meter was full. If it is, it isn’t working.
-
Fishing is fine if you do it where the bait box thing tells you to do it which is clearly moving weekly so you don't just spend the whole time in the EDZ.
-
1 ReplySo they’ve added fishing? Sounds horrible, maybe they should look at what warframe has done.
-
We got a lucky break yesterday and the public event did not spawn in that location for 2 rotations. We had fishing frenzy for about 15 minutes. 1 exotic caught.
-
It's different. I agree. On "Perfect Catch", I was getting greens, 6 in a row.
-
Over 600 fish caught. 1 exotic. Working as Bungie planned.
-
300 ish fish in and…..only seen full bar once, and only caught 1 exotic. It’s -blam!-!
