When Lightfall released, Grenade Kickstart was changed to always trigger even when used with multiple grenade charges ready. However, Melee Kickstart still fails to trigger with melee abilities that can store two or three charges. The only way for the mod to work with abilities like Arcane Needle or Frenzied Blade is to have almost exactly one charge remaining. If there is more than a tiny amount of progress toward the second charge, Melee Kickstart will not trigger, and armor charge will not be consumed.
