FIX PVP Servers. The hybrid potato doesn't cut it.
Remove PvP from Free to Play and fix the effing servers.
It seems like PvP gets very little support since the game went free to play, because fixing it doesn't create revenue right? Then make all PvP available to season pass holders only and put some damn effort into fixing it before it dies.
I don't care about matchmaking. I don't care about lobby balancing. I don't care about special ammo spam. I don't care about ability spam.
I care that I can hold my retical on someones nose and get no hit markers. I care that I take damage from somone before I see them. I care that I get error coded out of matches to be issued a warning when my home network is strong and flawless.
You need to do something about the poor connections, and no it's not on our end. And why did you remove the connection status bar next to our names?

PVP - Broken since day they have remove SBMM and ETC, allow Cheese monger ruin entire games. Since bungie started putting thing back in PVP, never workout correct just cause all problem with bug and etc. PVP - Back to square one again. Honestly, Bungie cannot fix anything PVP, but only keep Providing recycle Map, they are not interest in PVP Crucible, Same with Gambit as well, but Gambit don't exist in Bungie. Only PVP working out better is Iron Banner only few minor, PVP Crucible just Bust down to Ground. Bungie dont want to admit truth, only to cover up they going to keep working on it, when they are showing not proof or efford. So I dont bother with PVP Crucible, as leave them with Cheese Monger play with themselve

Just saying. D2 has ancient technology and no PvP team. There are plenty of quality FPS games made recently with modern code and dedicated servers that are PvP focused. But Destiny is not one of them. And it never will be.

3 RepliesThe game is in its 9th year out of 10. If you want a pvp experience, play a pvp game made by actual developers. There’s a stupid amount to pick between, you don’t need to settle for this garbage.

Not gonna find much of a pvp experience on D2. They have been half baking pvp for as long as possible. I only play for pinnacles at this point, play alot more casually now. Used to play pvp often, even played trials some. But they can't seem to manage pvp well at all.

Bango is traditionally bad at networking. The hybrid bs never did cut it and i have no hope for improvement in the future.

2 RepliesThere are no servers, it's all peer to peer. One computer or console hosts and the rest of the other players play from that person's host, I think they still rotate the host, at least they did that in D1, I haven't kept up with it. This is the main reason why the SBMM, Skill based match making sucks, because you're adding an additional variable into the mix. So you can imagine as you get better there's less of a pool of player close to you to draw from that are at your skill. Also, they apparently counted on SBMM to lobby balance and it doesn't do that at all.

I like to imagine some guy walking towards a room at bungie and he curiously opens a door marked “server room” and it’s this eldritch horror, this massive all knowing slug with a million eyes and grotesque looking. Coming out of it are a thousand wires sucking the life out of it and as the million eyes make contact with the worker it sends a telepathic thought to him “kill me” it says. The worker then closes the door and says “still working”

I can’t help it when the connection are poor. I have a good internet connection and never had any problems with other online games. I even tested my internet and it is good to great in between. So the only conclusion I can think of is either Destiny 2 server or a console (which is new btw). I also noticed that every time when playing pvp, specifically iron banner, is that the error code pop-up saying something about the “anteater”. I have no idea what that is, but assuming it’s about the internet connection issue. At least that what I read from online.

Nothing is more damn infuriating than the match being almost over then getting kicked because of their p o s servers, except OH WAIT THEY DON'T HAVE DEDICATED SERVERS, they have some trash peer to peer garbage that was a stupid idea in the first place. - Destiny 2 by far has the worst servers for any multiplayer game I've EVER played.

I can’t wrap my head around it. They had almost a year of this SBMM tweaking. Look at IB right now. Right back to square one. Maybe the worse I’ve seen it connection wise? And it’s not a secret. Game feels BAD.

1 ReplyI had really good balanced game play this week, BUT yesterday lost connection, which fully signed me out. I signed back in and good grief absolutely no rendering, back to invisible players on the opposite team. 🤦🏻♂️ It never came back. I almost feel like this happened because my teams were winning too much in IB. I was absolutely crushing it for the first time in a while then…servers. 😵

2 RepliesWon't happen without D3 or a mandatory $100 expansion. The entire game runs on P2P, no no not alot of the game literally the ENTIRE game. That means to make it work on dedicated servers they would practically have to recode absolutely everything from the ground up again. that's simply far more money and time than Bungie are willing to spend (I'm not saying it's right because it's not, imo they really should upgrade). So if they're gonna essentially rebuild an entire game they'll just do D3 or force you to buy a DLC for D2 that's just an upgrade with no actual content. It sucks but that's how it is
