Why is it that the normal -blam!-'s Least is harder to get than the Adept? I got the Adept twice in 2 GM runs but I just wanted the normal version for collections and after 2 Master runs, 1 Legend run and 4 Hero runs I have yet to get it.

Because they boosted the drop rates in GMs because people complained about the drop rates. Nobody cares about the regular drops, so they never boosted those.

Edited by BeardGodKel: 8/2/2022 11:06:20 PMSolo player here. The nightfall system is broken. It’s GM’s or nothing. In D1 I always looked forward to doing the NF every week. Now that Bungie castrated the drop-rate of NF weapons to what feels like .005% for anything below GM; I did 30+ runs on Hero and not one Horrors Least drop; I couldn’t care less about Nf’s after this last week. Change is good but not every change is good.

Run the 1490 nightfall. I got 5 and I wasn't even trying to grind for it
-
3 RepliesThere is a seasonal challenge that awards a nightfall weapon. If you have not turned that in yet, do it on a week where that weapon is dropping.

Being honest they should really just revert back to Destiny 1's system of progressively harder matchmade strikes with increasing chance at certain types of loot. If it wasn't broke don't fix it. the current system leaves most of their players unsatisfied and makes strikes, one of the things that use to be the focus of the game, into something largely ignored by most players. I'm not an elite player, I'm not a streamer, but I'm no slouch either and when I'm really invested I usually score the top of my fire team, regular strikes? No challenge, at all, just enemies falling like shooting playing cards with a rifle. then you have nightfails, adept is boring, heroic is meh and unrewarding AF, and that's it unless you find a fire team to go with you. I'm playing more of the seasonal event than anything because of all the events hell at least I'm getting something for playing it. The nightfall system of "play the exact same event with the exact same enemies in the exact same places over and over and over again until it reaches it's ultimate monotony is not what I think most players want. Just go back to strike specific loot and have playlists with ramping difficulty so that people won't get -blam!- bored. Or here's an idea. Actual ramping difficulty, the longer you stay in the strike playlist the harder it becomes, you either get matched with new players when the event ends, or keep the current fireteam, each followup strike you complete increases the difficulty and loot potential with random modifiers stacking, or have a wild cards, you can choose this minor buff for slightly lower chance at loot, this minor debuff for greater chance at loot, or you can hit the wild card. Each player gets to vote. If one votes the buff, one votes the debuff, and one votes the wild card, you get both the buff and debuff but no change to loot rewards, but if at least two players choose the wild card, it gives either a significant buff that doesn't harm loot chance and will stay with you until you exit the playlist, or a significant debuff that will stay with you and increase loot chance for the rest of the play list. That, would be interesting. But as it stands, it feels like no one plays the game for fun, they grind for loot until they get bored and then they go away. That's not a sign of a healthy game.

2 RepliesEdited by Joulevette12: 8/2/2022 1:43:30 AMHonestly just get rid of the RNG drop make it a guarantee drop on completion because it still won't match up against a Adept version with improved stats and options
-
I think its tied to platinum.

2 RepliesEdited by nonchalantone: 8/2/2022 1:49:46 AMI just completed the "Darkest Nightfall" Seasonal challenge today as well, for a guaranteed Nightfall weapon. It gave me Silicon Neuroma.....?? Wtf?? I thought it gave the weapon that was with the current week's NF? I'm just waiting on the "the drops for Horrors Least was not dropping "as intended" message........in the next TWAB....

The drop rate on Master is around 80% according to community research.

Working as intended
-
1 ReplySeems like I've done 20 hero runs this week and not a single drop
-
Adept has a 100% drop rate if you get a plat GM run. The normal has a really bad drop rate on everything sub master and its not even that grate on master.
-
Well yea ones guaranteed the other isn’t lol
-
10 RepliesAdepts need to go
-
4 RepliesThen go for the adept, there’s no point to go for the regular version if you can run GMs.
-
It's far, far harder to get. I've spent three nights trying to get one. A non-Adept version. Got 6 or 7 Exotics and not one Horrors. The drop rates were fixed, corrected, significantly improved for GMs to be 100% for an Adept weapon. Meanwhile an inferior version is subject to RNG and a VERY low drop rate. Time-investment wise these aren't even close to tallying appropriately. But they ignore these Forums. They listen to Streamers. They don't have anything like thoroughness or conscientiousness in balancing economies, drop rates, Subclasses, etc., etc., etc.
-
Because adept is at least guaranteed with all champs killed on gm. Regular is still left to chance. We all know how bungie feels about "common" drops.
-
Keep running master. There’s absolutely no point in wasting your time on lower level difficulties. Spend your time efficiently in game and you’ll actually get what you want.

Just run master if you want a normal one. If you run 3 masters in a row and get platinum it's likely to drop.
-
Because adepts are guaranteed on gm (with plat). Just keep doing master and it will drop eventually.

10 RepliesThese complaints fall on deaf ears yo I and a bunch of others have made the same kind of post and the only thing you get is people telling you that you complain too much or something in the last few days I've ran only 13 or 14 hero but still have not gotten a single weapon except for Two bows it's to the point where I don't even care don't want to play it anymore it's so mundane
-
Does not compute.

Edited by GUARDIAN-IX: 8/1/2022 5:41:39 PMYup! I got three new ones but they don't drop easy. For a Hero NF weapon it's best to start on first day/night of Reset; gradually work into the weekend Grind. I use mods, kill Champions, do objectives, and use the required burn. Sometimes the Ghost Mod is not consistent- I could have a Prism drop mod or an intellectual armor drop mod and Bam - I get a NF weapon drop.
-
4 RepliesI farmed Masters, got an A tier now, maybe an S will drop (fingers crossed) Got Adepts to, but Masters are more forgiving. Hero and Legend droprates are very low.
-
2 RepliesI got one in my first legend. It dropped at sunset 1350, didn't unlock in collections Bungie, lol, FU

I thought it was just me as well. I have 3 adepts from GM, but regular runs, zero.
