I'm curious to know after the resent ban wave before witch queen, people were getting banned for using boosting services (witch I agree they deserve to get banned for BTW) witch were detected by bungie through differentiated IP addresses on accounts right?? So I've been playing the destiny games since TTK released, but if say I decided to up my online security now out of nowhere, after 7 years of the same IP would it start flagging me for the same reasons given I'd have a different IP after every log in??? I'm just wanting to know before I get banned for upgrading my security after 7 year of the same IP, don't want to risk it if means I could potentially get banned for it....

Millions of users have dynamic public IPs that’s not how it works. They have other ways of tracking your devices. If I was you I’d be more worried about your privacy.

Nope using a vpn is fine it's only cheat software in the background or illegal overlays that trigger a red flag

I think what they'd probably look for is one IP address logging into multiple accounts in fairly rapid succession. So I think you're good. Which, btw is completely circumventable with VPNs. The only way they can rly stop it is making an hours played minimum that's pretty high for posting in fireteams. Even that won't stop it completely. It will certainly mitigate it though.

11 RepliesI’ve seen very little evidence that there was any sort of ban wave for boosting services. Boosting services are still going as strong as ever.
