So I am REALLY sick.
I am living with recurring MRSA, Polycythemia Vera, damage done from two instances of Guillain-Barre, and a chance of recurrence of congestive heart failure.
I say this as time is my most important commodity and I view when it is wasted as a direct physical assault. With this in mind, as far as I'm concerned I have been battered in the back of a filthy alley by this company and from what I can tell am not the only one.
I have struggled to get my Warlock to base 1560 for the season, and started my week looking pretty good with base 1558 gear and all 1560 Weapons. I really only needed a few small jumps.
I saved my "powerful" items for last so that They too would roll 1560 and I could truly get to a library.
What I did not need was:
3 Helms
3 Gauntlets
4 class Items
at least one set of legs thank god and...
0 Chest pieces.
Which means that ALL of my "powerful" gear will be at 1559 i.e. less powerful than my max and hence not powerful at all really.
It means a slew of "rewards" which is frankly "unrewarding" and before someone goes piping in like a demented version of Disney's goofy saying "It's RNG ahuh ahuh ahuh" I will be plain about it.
It isn't.
There is nothing random about repeating dead drops.
It's clearly programmed in as a slowdown mechanic.
It leaves players feeling completely unrewarded. I met someone today who may very well not purchase your seasonal content because he watched me struggle with this, and that's bad business.
I talked to another close friend today who for a very brief moment almost considered, but when I told him what I was up to he said "nope!" ...and if anyone is moronic enough to try to come to your defense on this then pay attention to what's important. Their opinion doesn't matter as it's not THEIR money you are losing.
You guys have built a reputation quite literally for punishing your paying customers, and this makes it so much worse.
It's time for a change and the solution is simple.
Players need to be able to decide where their upgrades go, not an untrustworthy code engine.
Do you ACTUALLY think if people reach the damage cap earlier they aren't going to play?
No they will play MORE so they can get all of their gear there and have freedom of load outs.
People enjoy this platform because of a continual upward progression, one which in my case you have prevented in several ways from being possible.
I didn't get my $160 worth because with my disabilities you've made it impossible in so many ways, which we will be talking about later in a different capacity.
Don't ya' think it's time to mature up a bit and realize it isn't your game but belongs to your clients?
You've very much lost a massive chunk of customer trust and how can they? If you can't "trust" us as to where our upgrades belong why should we trust you?
I suggest a simple upgrade token system based on class and tier and defined by reward.
Powerful, pinnacle divided by class so that a hunter token can not be used with a warlock or titan.
We earn 'em, we apply them when appropriate.
As stated above the current system is abusive and cruel. For some of us more so than others. It's time for a change.
We'll discuss what needs to happen about those blinding visual effects in another post, but no fears it's coming.

3 RepliesEdited by CUROCH: 5/15/2022 3:56:15 AMIt’s the end of the season. If you failed to hit cap which was easy to do in 3-4 weeks then that is entirely on you. This is not a feedback post. This is a feel bad for me post. The good news is very shortly 1570 will be the new cap and you will have another 3 months to hit that. Since you do basically zero content that requires a higher power base, I suggest you enjoy the game and stop chasing a number that means absolutely nothing.

7 RepliesPowerful will be above your average power level until you reach 1550, then powerful will only drop at your average power level. So after 1550 the only way to increase is pinnacles, or get lucky and have a powerful drop for a slot that is lower than your average power.

3 RepliesHonestly, you don't even need to hit the pinnacle cap. You're 1585 on your highest character and you're not even doing endgame content. You don't raid. You've done Grasp of Avarice once. On Legend. No Grandmaster Nightfalls. No Master activities. 1559 base is more than adequate for the activities you do play.
