Cause all they want is the game rigged in their favors with terrible ideas that screws with the casual players.
Just playtest your own stuff, look deeply into bugs and issues, and form your own solutions as to how to fix it.
Just because Top 10 ways to fix D2 trends doesn't mean it's the answer.

Edited by itzJuztThomas: 4/21/2022 7:50:31 AMIt ain't only Destiny that has insufferable 'content creators'. A wonderlands video appeared on my YT last night titled 'THESE THINGS MUST CHANGE FOR WONDERLANDS TO SURVIVE'. The dude then shared tweets from his fellow borderlands creators that said and I kid you not - 'I've put 300 hours into this game, if you don't make changes I'm done'. 300 hours in the 27 days since release and screeching the game ain't good enough... You could fire every single CC in a gigantic bin for me.

1 ReplyStop supporting streamers and they will all go away
-
Yeah but seriously the streamers basically choose how the game is and feels
-
Kind of ironic given how boring the bad majority of players want things to be

2 RepliesEdited by Ryan Foxling: 4/18/2022 3:40:59 AMIt's much easier to take an opinion from a content creator rather than random people from forums, for example Datto's opinion videos has more views/likes or comments than amount of people on this forum. Forsaken was made because Bungie invited them to their studio and ask them what Destiny needs. And year 1 was made for casuals. This game is an MMO, it should be hard and interesting to play with friends, rather than have easy mode on literally anything, only hard content we have right now is day 1 and couple of GM's, other than that everything is super easy, even pvp is now super casual, trials used to be an actual sweatfest, now it's just a farm fest for players like me, even comp was ranked and had good rewards in year 2, but because caduals wanted them too they made this game mode pointless after that. This game should be time consuming and replayable, this game made for people with a lot of time, not for dads with 10 kids and 10 jobs, this game is already more casual oriented, so what exactly you need?

They serve a function. They’re free data aggregation for Bungie. Look at the comments and see what the opinion is of the audience of the creator’s views. The problem is that I don’t think the people tasked with looking through these are even doing that. Content creators are skewed in their perception of what is “normal” in Destiny. Their communities though, are a good way of seeing what a subset of the community is thinking. To them Viewers = people who agree with their ideas. It’s not always accurate but it’s a way of getting valid metrics without dedicating a lot of staff just to that. Not a great practice but the industry standard.

Edited by reenry: 4/19/2022 12:53:40 AMI’d much rather listen to a streamer with 1k+ hours then a 200 hour andy posting forum level suggestions because “i got killed by a shotgun :(“ When the community unites on something its absolutely pointless -blam!-. Remember the #removeeverse drama? Pointless. Did nothing to benefit the game.

3 RepliesI 100 % agree on the content creator part, most of the terribly and unnecessarily grindy chores we have in the game right now are there because content creators were crying that they run out of content too quickly while playing the game FULLTIME. All the endgame content is also catered towards them now. Unnecessarily high power level requirements and all the good rewards gatekept behind those activities you have to grind xp for 200 hrs per season just to get oneshot by dregs and have to play passive. Not fun. You should never listen to literal fulltime players that get paid to play the game. They are a minority. They only have their own interest in mind cause their income depends on it. That is a fact, not an opinion. I disagree with the playtest yourself part tho. Not trying to be rude or insulting to the devs at all but looking at the crucible right now, their playtesters don't understand ANYTHING about fun vs. balance in shooters and are probably not really good at the game. Every single class has unfun to play against garbage cheese that makes me not wanna touch the game anymore + many broken weapons for years. Apparently they think if ever class has access to op stuff, it's balanced. Maybe it is. When it is extremely unfun and frustrating to play against and makes ppl quit, theres something fundamentally wrong.

36 RepliesLast time they focused on casuals the game almost died tbh

8 RepliesEdited by whateverman7: 4/18/2022 7:30:15 PMI dont mind them listening to content creators, just wish they werent the only people they listened to. We know they listen to content creators and go by usage data when deciding sandbox changes, wish they talked to more people besides content creators.

So what ways is the game fixed in the favor of content creators/streamers?

11 RepliesEdited by Smooch: 4/18/2022 3:58:23 PMWhy all the hate for content creators? I guarantee every single person on this thread has watched a stream / guide / review. These people share their own personal thoughts and opinions and those of their communities which cover a large portion of the player base. Would wouldn’t Bungie listen to these people? Just because you don’t share the same opinion doesn’t mean they’re wrong. Ultimately it’s up to Bungie what changes in the game, the community only ever offer suggestions. Content creators are just trying to make a living doing what they enjoy and put out videos trying to help this community. Anyone saying they need to ‘stop being supported’ and ‘go out and get real jobs’ need to grow up.
-
9 RepliesSimple solution is to boycott the Destiny content creators.. send them broke as they make a living off this and don’t even hold a real job .. After they no longer exist their opinions will be irrelevant

2 RepliesThere are a lot of misinformed and bitter people in this thread. The reason why most content creators voices are being heard is because they genuinely have a mutual interest in this game surviving in the long run. If the game is in a great place that means content creators that have logged thousands of hours can continue to grow their platform and make more money. Creating interest in other people to try the game and recreate something they saw on twitch or YouTube. Which in turn makes bungie more money. You know who bungie isn’t going to listen to. Joe Schmoe that has 100 or less hours into this game that only logs on to complete bounties. Sh*t posts on the D2 forums and will be gone to play some other game in a year or less. Is the casual player base important to this games overall survival? Absolutely Is the input from the casual player base constructive or objectively sound? Most of the time no it isn’t. Just scroll through the forums or twitter and you’ll find your answer. The last time casual input was used to create a PvP / PvE sandbox in the tail end of D1 and year 1 of D2 it almost killed this franchise. I doubt bungie will make the same mistake twice.

108 RepliesWhy are they called content creators? They don't create anything.

51 RepliesWhen a game developer tells their community that their game is "watchable", that right there tells you they've already failed their community. I was still playing back then when they said this, and I knew then these guys are a failure and will continue to fail! Now I'm glad I don't play anymore. A game developer is supposed to lead, and the entire community will follow. They failed in this aspect by saying their game is watchable. LMAO!!! Greed is a poison and it took over the game and a small part of the community. That's why the devs are feeding it to this small part of the community and this small part of the community feeds it back to them. The rest of the community are just a dollar sign, hamsters running the wheel! LMAO!!! Watchable is a failure on the devs part. Failure!

Mmmmm.... it really depends. For one the causal audience don't want the game to really change, but I have been seeing more midcore/hardcore (content creators as you say) want the game to start evolving. D2 is getting stale, the new PvE direction Bungie seems to be going at doesn't really 'fit' with the old content of D2 that we are expected to still play and need massive overhauls/updates to those activities. More depth is kinda needed at this point in D2, if you want to turn your brain off there is way too much content and difficulties you can do that I question why players complain about hardcore/midcore players wanting better content for themselves to dig into for their playstyles when you already have so much.
-
It's all about money and lining each others pockets. Top content creators get their way and make 7th column and 50 kill streak videos while stomping casuals in CBMM playlists. Bungie wins because content creators give free hype to the game that indirectly pays their bills through YT & TTV.
-
7 RepliesIf you think that Bungie makes decisions based off content creators you are out of your mind and probably believe the earth is flat as well. Content creators can’t even agree on things.
-
But, with their massive followings, it's obvious the YouTubers and Twitch streamers speak for the community. #eyeroll

18 RepliesEdited by Radriar Herald of Finality: 4/18/2022 12:18:08 PMSeeing a lot of witch hunting here with content creators. I guess most people here had their twitch fail and now hate anyone that had success in this path. Also if bungie listened to casuals we would have matchmaking everywhere, wich is a big yikes having matchmaking on things like raids and GMs, specially for master raids. But sure il have jerry level 10 on season pass trying to give casual excuses to why matchmaking everywhere is good...
-
Especially arrogant streamers like Datto who if his clan replaces in raids they would probably win.

9 RepliesThe game used to cater to the casuals...and it was an absolute snooze-fest.

and listen to a 200h player ? no thanks at least they know their stuff

5 RepliesGood luck with this because it will never happen. I thought when creators were getting copy right struck bungie was onto something.
