I've just started working on the catalyst for it and....I just can't. I do not enjoy this gun at all. I hate how slowly it shoots, the kick when it does, the spin-up, everything. And while you can deal great damage when you use a full load of stored missiles, I can do better damage instantly with my Gjallarhorn in the same slot. And I'm pretty sure adding the catalyst still won't make it perform better than a Gjallarhorn in the heavy slot. And because it's an Exotic, I miss out on all the extra firepower I could be getting from an Exotic in the other weapon slots. For example if I want to dish out arc damage I'd much rather use Riskrunner combined with an arc rocket or grenade launcher than use The Grand Overature with something else. I guess it might prove useful for some specific purposes like boss melting in a raid but even there I think it will be outmatched by other options. So it's nay for me. But if you're a fan of the gun, maybe you can tell me why. Maybe I'm just using it wrong.
