4 RepliesDude Osteo is terrible in crucible
-
Oh look another kid upset he doesn’t have Mommy’s money to buy content he lashes out about “pay to win”when he has no idea what he’s complaining about… Go do some chores and earn some allowance.
-
You're lucky theres even freeloader access for pvp.

There's a new sherriff in town, guys
Title says it all. We excused Eververse all the way back in D1 because it was purely cosmetic. Now the game is inundated with pay to win guns that actually impact the player versus player experience in a negative way. Items such as Eyasluna, Matador 64, Gjallarhorn, Osteo Striga, etc. are all top tier Crucible/Gambit picks right now, for an obvious reason! Wanna know why you can't balance Gambit even though you made several changes this season? Gjallarhorn and Osteo Striga! I know you have to make money somehow, so even though we're ALL screaming for a monthly subscription model like Final Fantasy XIV, I won't begrudge the paid expansions and things like that. Just PLEASE restrict these paywalled weapons from PVP.
Those are all dlc weapons and have nothing o do with eververse. Eververse is all cosmetic items.
-
Not a single person is screaming for a monthly subscription what are you even talking about. Also you can’t expect bungie to punish paying customers just because you think payed content weapons are op. There are many weapons that are good rivals or counters to these weapons.
-
Nobody is screaming for a monthly service fee. If they implemented one, the community would lose players at an epic rate. I would stop playing immediately. Bungie does not provide enough content to even think about a monthly service fee. You do remember the six months before WQ right? Would you have paid a monthly fee for no content at all?
-
Horrible idea that will never ever happen. Not even a slight chance Bungie would ever even consider it. They can’t punish players for buying the product. And they can’t remove exclusive loot from the content. And most the weapons you brought up have legendary counterparts that are just as good and you would have access to.
-
First off, none of those weapons are pay to win. There are equal and other options that I’m some cases out class them. If they were truly pay to win, then I could go equip luna, matador, and ghally and not lose a single fight. Secondly, it is technically a monthly subscription if you think about it. You pay $100 for the deluxe addition, and that gives you a full years worth of content. And if you take 100/12, you get $8.33 a month. And if you’re really stingy about spending money on a video game, just skip going out to eat once a month.
-
Nope. Far worse to punish paying customers. No reason to restrict any guns just because kiddos upset he can't use mommy's credit card.
-
That's just not how that should work. Because then you're asking for everyone that pays for the PvP that you don't pay for (which is perfectly fine) to not be able to use the weapons that they have. And on top of it none of those weapons leads to anything close to an automatic victory over other weapons that you have access to. Xur gave everybody the Main Ingredient. Its not like PvP just exists. It still gets paid for somehow and for the people that put money into the game to not be able to use weapons that don't actually give them any kind of real advantage whatsoever is silly. Its so silly that it makes it look like you're just complaining that those weapons aren't also free.
-
Destiny is not a mobile game and there is no pay to win here. Bungie publishes content, and to entice buyers they offer early access to some gear and a paywall for other content ( in layman words, you pay to play the content, not to win) Same with exotics attached to a season. If I had to take a wild guess, you want all content to be free and also expect a daily exotic for every log in you do.
-
Items such as Eyasluna, Matador 64, Gjallarhorn, Osteo Striga
Alternatives for these that are just as strong are Fatebringer, Retold Tale, Truth(for PvP/Gambit), and Trinity Ghoul
so even though we're ALL screaming for a monthly subscription model
I don't think anyone wants this with the current content output. Also, how does that solve supposed p2w weapons if you now have to pay a sub?
-
Don't see how these are pay to win. All you mentioned are all connected to dlcs. None of these weapons you mentioned have made me a God in pvp.
-
That's not Pay 2 Win. That's Pay 2 Play. 🤦 Can't get Eyasluna.....there's Cantata-57, Annual Skate, Dire Promise, FateBringer(Adept), Waking Vigil. Anything behind a DLC isn't P2W. That Nonsense F2P come up with. If the weapons came from Eververse then ya it would be P2W. But they didn't.
-
How is a weapon that is associated with a particular expansion deemed to be pay to win?
-
Osteo is the only pay to win, you don't need it for the dlc. Pay more to get it.
-
8 RepliesThere are no p2w guns.

If they didn’t allow the weapons behind pay walls into the Crucible, none of the people who mainly play PvP would buy a season pass or expansion. The game’s PVE is not good enough to sell on its own. The story finally got better with Witch Queen, but there are a lot of cheaper campaigns out there that are better. They should get rid of free to play. Then everyone in the game has access to the same gear.
