Why are the new Lost Sector exotics dropping such low stats each season?
Got 57 stat Nothing Manacles from ^ this Legend Lost Sector.
We can purchase 62-64 stat exotics from Xur so how are Legend Lost Sectors and Ordeal Nightfalls dropping 57 stats?

Shouldn't "end game activities" reward better than world drops and purchasables?

These are all lower than what Xur sells 95% of the time.

Oh, yeah Lost Sectors suck. I get the new exotic each season from them to get it in my loot pool, and then farm decent rolls from Master / GM NF. The stuff from there rarely if ever drops sub-60.

I feel sad for y'all. Anything under 65 I instantly shard, and I shard plenty. But on the plus side I have every exotic I want/need over 65 and usually more than one in different flavours. Pro tip: farm until the soil runs dry then move town.

Yep. Even in the shattered throne the drops are lower stat then they to were last season.

Same is true for me. I've never received a brand new seasonal exotic with better than a 62, and most have been in the 50s.

Edited by Artisan: 8/30/2021 4:39:29 PMTotally agree. Last season one was 50 stat. Made worse by the fact that once the new piece does drop you're absolutely stuck with it for the foreseeable future. Subsequent drop chances are now in the whole pool of exotics of that slot and not just that new exotic. In case it hasn't occurred to everyone or if it hasn't already been suggested in the comments so far : make sure to use the new Ghost mods. If it has to be 57 power at least make sure it's at least 10+ in the right stat.

57 is the median stat total. So you're going to see twenty for every 67 or 47

2 RepliesIt's just bad RNG. Also obsessing over getting a +60 stat roll isn't worth your time. What should be focussed on instead is how the stats are spread. I'd much rather have a 20 recov, 20 dis, 10 int than a 60+ armor piece with random -blam!- spreads.

1 ReplyAlmost always get low or poor stat distribution from lost sectors for the exotics however once you have the new exotic it is in your exotic loot pool so you have a chance at a better roll when they drop again. I gave up farming lost sectors for better rolls when my second mask of bakris dropped @57with high strength after the first dropped @58 also with high strength. Got a decent drop from a nightfall later that season.

Seems very random. I've gotten a few 58s and 59s from them. I've also gotten a few 60s and up from them. My friend got a 66 Radiant dance machines. Definitely wish it were more consistent.

2 RepliesI equipped the new ghost mod that’s supposed to help your armor drop with +10 mobility/resilience/recovery and it actually gave me a 57 stat roll. I didn’t use the ghost on the other two exotics and got 60+ stat rolls. Coincidence?

Edited by chrdragon: 8/30/2021 12:21:36 PModdly enough all content after beyond light only drops worse stat armours at beyond light it still drops 69 stat gear at best and you can still farm crystine 69 stat gear at base on europa. where as seasonal seems to have extremly low chance to get good stat gear. not saying its impossible but the likly hood seems extremly rare then compared to beyond light cyrostine. so europa farm seems better choice for good stat equipment. at least this has been my expierience. cryostine if lucky you can get free 69 gear and better. seasonal gear seems to easier drop 55 stat gear or worse and have extremly low chance to give better. wish you luck also those crystine are pretty cheap to farm as long you own beyond light. might be better to just get seasonal gear for looks unlock and just masterwork cyrostine. and use rubish for seaosn triumph and then dismantle.
