I hate pvp and I agree with you. How ever it's not that bad. I think once you progress through the season ranks and get the boosts towards the catalyst it really should take only a couple games to complete. Just don't do it now, you know I wont.

Did it in gambit, just need to do the 34/200 activity points…gambit is a little more fun, it’s more 1v1 if they catch you invading. And it’s op as is.

18 Replies-blam!- pvp and -blam!- all of you! This thread proves that it shouldn’t be forced it comes down to even temperament diametrically opposing personalities. Imagine trying to flex your video games skills to a non gaming normal person they’d look at you like you were a pathetic loser. That’s what people who only play for fun and main pve think every time you little peepee energy losers who try to flex on absolutely nothing. Pvp prowess means as much as much as my sisters kids last successful dookie in the potty. Get over it no one cares.

I'm there with you but for pve. I'm a solo player and having so much stuff locked into pve steps with most things are fireteam friendly, that's not for me. I can run crucible all day and enjoy myself.

PVE main here. What little has to be done in the crucible isn't that bad. Stop whining already!! I'm gonna wait til we get the rank up challenges for crucible and gambit, before I step foot in either one. My belief we should get those 2 challenges week 1 that way everything counts for them. Or they need to be retro!!

Mayhem has to be slightly tolerable for even the biggest pvp haters. Understood we want the catalyst on the first day. I’m still working on catalysts I got years ago. No biggie and it’s fun dusting off old weapons...

Buddy get help. Addiction is a serious psychological issue that if not treated can harm you and those around you that you love. Another thing you should speak to a specialist about is the anger issue's. Calm down champ. Enjoy life and enjoy the forms of entertainment you choose to partake in. I don't like PvP either but Gambit fits the bill for this area. At least in Gambit, you can invade and get kills and when you have an invader plus know the maps you can pretty much tell where they will be coming from and plan accordingly. It may take a while to hit the required guardian kill but it's not as stressful as going into crucible. I have no interest in the full PvP area of things but Gambit does the job eventually and I enjoy that more since it gives a both PvE & PvP experience but that is me. I know tons of people hate Gambit but I for one, enjoy it.

18 RepliesHonest question - if any player has enough experience to play high level NFs or a raid, how can they not be passable at PvP? Clearly they've gotten down the mechanics of using cover, shooting accurately, and moving with precision along with using primaries, specials, and abilities. I get they may not be great or even good and the pace and unpredictability of PvP can be a challenge, but most of the players in Crucible play like bots. Finding a good corner or lane, looking at your radar, and even crouching should get you a bunch of trades. Sure every match will have a few good players who farm you, but there are almost always 3 bad players on a team. New light players who don't know the mechanics and weapons - I totally get and they need time. Otherwise if you're standing in the open, only pressing forward, and playing like you're trying to farm thrall, that's on you. Play like you're facing a GM champion or ad that can one shot you - you'll do ok.

You aren't being forced to do anything. If you want all the loot. You have to do all the activities. If you only do some of the activities you won't get all the loot. Super simple. Don't complain. Every. Season.

6 RepliesThe catalyst requirements have been the same every season why would it be changed now, not to mention it is a whole 50 kills and people getting kills with the weapon around you and assist also count

2 RepliesPeople who only play Destiny for the crucible are forced into PvE for literally every single weapon/armor piece in the game aside from 2 armor sets and 1 weapon a season. Grow up. It's 50 kills, which becomes like 22 when you get the catalyst multipliers.
