Dungeons

The is feedback not a rip on bungie. I would like to see more attention given to dungeons. Speaking as mostly a solo player and some one who does not always have 3-6hrs to play. Dungeons are a blast whether it’s tearing through them with some buds, teaching some one new or solo runs. Seems like a small percentage of players do raids compared to other pve activities. We need more dungeons and with awesome loot and maybe even adept weapons/ mods! I know I’m just a small fish in a big pond but it’s real feed back from a typical hard working dad gamer!

  • 100% Dungeons are among the best content. Presage is the perfect example. Challenging but doable solo and time gated hard mode version. Prophecy for me personally too difficult for solo. I wish we had a reprised zero hour or whisper without time constraint.

    • I personally think dungeons are much more fun than raids. Its easier to find/set up a team. The mechanics are less annoying, infinite revives, and typically shorter. I just wish they had better loot with unique perks and weapons.

      • I agree.I like the dungeons more than raids in D2 especially the Shattered throne and Pit of heresy but have only done them 2 or 3 times since they first came out because they don't have their own weapons and armour.If they both had their own themed loot(Taken for throne,Hive for Pit) then Iwould've done them more with all 3 characters to get all of the weapon and armour sets.

      • How about a Raid with no stupid jumping puzzles. No on the count of 3 everyone has to kick the evil dog in the balls in absolute perfect sync or you all wipe again and there goes 3 hours of your life down the crapper! How about a Raid were we have to battle our way through enemy strongholds and capture positions in order to advance onto the next. There could be countdown times while fending off enemies. No new enemies spawn in that particular position once taken. Once a series of enemy strongholds have Been taken you face the Final Boss Stronghold. There could be and over-all time limit to achieve ultimate victory! Should be a reasonable time to get this accomplished. The current Raids the way they are set up I would rather eat a cup of dirt!

        • Bungie could do so much more. Every dungeon and every raid map could be repurposed in the same way menagerie was repurposed. Every dungeon and raid map should have a six-man matchmaking activity with adds and bosses and a loot pool. The work is already done- the maps are already in the game - why is this so difficult?

          • Dungeons are great. Raids are even better. I've got my third kid coming in 4 weeks and up until now I've had no problem completing every raid. I haven't run DSC yet, just did the solo boss cheese but still - my point is if you wanted to try the raids bad enough you would get in there and do it. No they're not easy to learn, and yes they can take a painfully long time. My advice - watch a "How to do x raid for Dummies" then just try it. I am a 95% solo player so I do understand why you love dungeons so much. That being said, I have every raid exotic to date and it makes my solo play time so much more fun pulling out those trophy weapons like divinity, anarchy, etc.

            • We should’ve already had a new dungeon. The problem is bungie always waits for the community to ask for shit and ask for more shit when it becomes complaining. Should’ve already had one, but all our season pass money got us was battlegrounds, season hunts overrides and a reskinned raid

                • These seasons are your dungeons. This is what the "community as a whole asked for" Instead of the community speaking up as a whole asking for actual content. For me it's not so much about the content at times, it's the lack of incentive to run the content they create and the lack of updating existing content making most of the content in this game literally boring as hell. All this content and barely anything to do becase the community thinks the game is fine how it is being created, and it also didn't help this game at all removing all the content Bungie actually did only to be replaced with these seasons. It's funny how the only time you see the community and this also means Bungie's streamers speak up with the community is if it affects their "god rolls". This is how lost this community actually is that almost everything else doesn't really seem to be important enough for the community to speak up as a whole, and that is pretty damn sad. [spoiler] Masterwork cores and Sunsetting seem to be the only time I've noticed the community actually speak up. But there is something really interesting about both of those subjects, and this has happened for the last 4 years when it comes to changes in this game. The community spoke up about Masterwork cores being changed to Enhancement cores. Can you guess who didn't speak up about it so nothing was done about it at that time? Bungie's streames were all for it so nothing changed until later when it was convenient for Bungie, but when it comes to things like their "god rolls" Oh no! we can't have none of that so let's pretend we care about the game and community and speak up about it that it seems the only time things change is when the streamers speak up about it with the rest of the community. But when it comes to pretty much everything else that makes a game most of the community ignores it especially streamers, you only have players that make a post as the OP did here.[/spoiler] The community and I mean Reddit/Streamers, content creates, etc... as well make it easy for this company to ignore things that are actually important for the game that improves things [b](that it took 7 years for Bungie to actually give in to change the melee option.)[/b] Really? 7 freaking years people becase most of the community only focus on the small petty things and are unwilling to work together to make an actual impact that will get Bungie to take action. This is what we will get from a lot of the community because they think the game is fine in its current state. "The game is fine how it is" Wrong, it was a lot better when Activision was around. We were actually getting new content and content worth playing. "We have enough content" Not anymore since half the game was removed and Bungie refuses to update the existing content that they think placing 1 weapon here and 1 weapon there is called "updating a game". No, things like Age of Triumph are what you can call updating the game. "We have enough loot in the game" No, most of the loot in this game is either mediocre loot not really worth acquiring like these seasons or junk loot and a lot of it from Eververse, along with how the game is way over flooded with blues, material, consumables, and BD that is your "reward". I could go on, but the community is part of the problem besides the higher-ups not wanting to put the resources into the game to make a quality time of game let alone improve the player experience. It takes the community to actually shout at Bungie or threaten them to stop playing like the sunsetting that caught Bungie's attention that they took action on that faster than anything else I've seen. It's actually pretty damn stupid that things have to go that far just for a company to pay attention to their community. Do you want dungeons to get more attention, better loot, and more of it actually placed in the dungeons that will make it worth the times spent playing an activity like that? You have to convince most of the community. So if you can do that, then you might have a chance to get Bungie's attention.

                  • I agree. Dungeons are a good example of PvE content that is challenging but doesn't enforce what loadout a player chooses the way that Champions and associated mods enforce what weapons can be used.

                    • Is a dungeon every season too much to ask for from Bungie? Why can't they plan things in the development pipeline in a way so that we have a new dungeon each season. Heck, I would settle for two dungeons a year. We have 3 dungeons for a game that has been around for 4 years. Also, not to mention, dungeons are an ideal activity for smaller clans and fledgling clans who may not be able to have six players available to fill raids as often. Adding more dungeons would allow the health of the player base in clans to stay strong and committed to the game each season. It would also be a great way to add exclusive items as rewards in a similar fashion to how Prophecy gave unique rewards for solo, flawless, and solo flawless.

                      • Personally rather then more dungeons, i would LOVE to see a solo mode for raids, or a 3 man strike team for raids but with the following changes -Bosses only drop powerful gear -Loot is not the raid loot table but just seasonal/world drops -Pinnacle reward at the end give 1 random raid item -Only get 3 conquest per kill -Hidden chest only drop glimmer, and random legendary, no conquest -no check points -unlimited revives -no wipe mechanics other then whole team getting killed.

                        • I think I'd just like to see a dedicated loot pool for dungeons. I loved that Pit and shattered throne both have cool exotics tied to a bunch of dungeon delving, but I'd like them to have a dedicated armor set and a handful of dedicated weapons. I don't care if the total loot pool is 9 items, 5 armor and 3 weapons, and the 1 extoic, but please stop tying dungeons to world loot. There's no loot to chase in dungeons and I think that's a hugely missed opportunities for such an excellent and community beloved activity.

                          • I think two raids and two dungeons each year would be perfect. Two premium (come with expansion) and two free to play, even if the raid is just another remaster. I think the game benefits greatly from dungeons but that shouldn't come at the cost of raids.

                            • What is it exactly you are asking for? More dungeons period? Or do you feel because raids (and endgame in general) see less players we should have more dungeons over more raids? Because one is something everyone can get behind, the other should never happen ever. Raids are the pinnacle pve experience dlc is made around.

                              • They should put the dungeons on a weekly rotation. Maybe add a gun skin each season like how crucible,strikes,gambit get for the seasonal weapon.
