Why can’t we get Barrier pulse?

It was made that way so you're forced to use erianas and lament, just a small dissuasive to equip exotics worth using, that is if you're not willing to equip asr.

You should be able to put the mods on whichever weapon you like. Current design is restrictive and ties you into one play style for an entire season. No problem restricting the number but let us choose which weapons we want to put them on.

8 RepliesI understand they want to eNcOuRaGe people to use weapons that they might not ordinarily try, but personally I think the champion mods should be consolidated by slot, rotating seasonally if need be. Set it up as Barrier Kinetic, Overload Energy, Unstoppable Heavy, and rotate those roles in and out of those slots periodically. I think a system like that could potentially bring some real variety to player loadout choices.

1 ReplyDon’t forget that Bungie has multiple sandbox changes inbound for next season. They’ll discuss weapon changes next week but it’s entirely possible that the changes for auto rifles will make them viable again. We’ll have to wait and see, though.

7 RepliesI was testing anti barrier autos in GMs today and yeah next season will be rough. Pretty much 360s or 450s with 360s being better for adds and barriers but 450s having higher aim assist at range making it easier to land shots.

Bungie has to artificially make context hard by making your Anti champion guns literal crap. Tis nothing new.

The only thing worse will be trying to stun Overload Minotaurs (i.e. GlassWay NightFall) that run full tilt at you while firing and teleporting every 2 seconds with a fornicating Bow in tight spaces.

If you bring one into a GM you have to get dangerously close to champions for an effective stun. GMs favor scout rifles and hand cannons the most right now. They are good in all low-level PVE activities but that's not saying a lot in the bracket where literally anything can do well. There are so many auto rifles that have amazing perk combinations now, though. Any subsistence/rampage roll is god mode in low level PVE. Overflow/surplus/disruption break on Shadow Price is top tier, overflow/rangefinder Summoner, overflow/subsistence/rangefinder/frenzy Tigerspite, hell even triple tap/high-impact on Age-Old Bond. There are a lot more possibilities out there but a lot of auto rifles have great rolls for high-end PVE, if only they weren't overshadowed by longer ranged weapons.

1 ReplyI dunno, bud... I've got a Gnawing Hunger with Alloy mag, Subsistence, and Kill Clip. It's without a doubt my best primary, especially paired with my Nezarec's sin, Deathbringer, and top tree VW with warmind's decree. Infinite everything.

Chroma Rush and Shadow Price are my go-to autos. Seraph will be very nice with vorpal as well. Arc Logic is decent and both Halloween autos are viable. Gnawing Hunger and Summoner are still beast mode.
