I think taking a ton more flinch for sliding is the best way to balance slide shotguns. Like it or hate it, the nerf to slide is perfectly fine.

But y balance it if bungie can stop it 100% the nurff effects more then just shotgun slideing banneing shotgun slideing wood not and You can get around the nurff useing exotics
