I’ve been trying to get exotics in the lost sectors but the Overload Champions just don’t seem to die at all without a lot of dang effort. I tried using stasis after staggering an Overload Champion; lo and behold the b*****d was healing himself before my very eyes like when they teleport. But he wasn’t, he was staggered and frozen. WHY THE HEALING BUFF ON THESE GUYS!? They’re a headache as it is!

Edited by Hexi: 6/17/2021 8:17:59 AMBreach and Clear, then rush in with a sword. That's like the only sane way to deal with chaps. Then when you spend 3 hours farming the same stupid, broken lost sector and get *NOTHING*. Complete and utter waste of time.

2 things: First off, even if overloads cant get restunned immediately, you can still inhibit their health regen by shooting them with overload rounds. Second, i dont recommend using stasis for any champion clearing because when they break out of the freeze, it immediately unstuns them. Since they qualify as bosses/ultras, the freeze time is very low and so you dont even get that much of a benefit from freezing them.

Watch esotericks videos on how to deal with champions. They are the most annoying when you don't know how to deal with them for sure

Freezing champs removes stagger effect. Slow however does not (hunter shuriken).

2 RepliesEdited by BraddyBo: 6/17/2021 6:01:46 AMIve been using a 120 hc and they stopped healing themselves. Have a full mag, stun them, shoot 2 anarchy, wait 3 seconds then resume shooting hc until they are dead. Idk why but shooting right away after anarchy or waiting too long allows them to regen instantly. Sure a sword works they screw up your solo loadout on many lost sectors. Ive been using auto or scout/gl or hc/anarchy.

Freezing Champions kicks them out of Staggered state so they return to their normal self immediately except for Anti Barriers.

I agree that overloads suck. Essentially you will have to use FG, Lament or Anarchy to kill them. Doesn’t seem like the best design to have to have your loadout so limited just so you can’t kill them.

1 ReplyStun and use lament. That’s what I did when I was too low and it worked pretty well

I usually stun him and hit 'em with 2 anarchy shots with breach and clear. Never fails.

Just use thorn..

If you stun them then freeze them you reset their stun. Just overload then dps, then quickly go back to overloading until they restun. The key is you have to continuously be hitting them with over load after you quickly dps. If not they will teleport and heal. Overload+2 anarchy+overload=dead champ

Healing while stunned and teleporting like the roadrunner. Yeah they are a handful for sure. Lament seems to neuter them the best for me.

I feel your pain. They’re the hardest to take down, IMO. I stun him, rock two Leviathan’s breath rounds and land a finisher. Works reliably for me. Full disclosure, this is regarding LS champions in my weight class—haven’t tried it against the 1340’s.
