Presage boss
Anybody else having issue with the boss glitching into your face. Happens most usually at beginning of the encounter You fire a single shot and he appears right in your face. He will do it again when you have his health bar down to one.

Its a mechanic, now you know he does this now you can predict this and play around it. Its not a bug or glitch. I shoot once, grab my lament and make sushi of his ass

7 RepliesThis ruined my first solo flawless attempt. The second attempt was ruined by his slam attack killing me through the floor while I was above him.

happen to me on my solo flawless attempt. Saw that he was far enough a way to cast my super, and tag him with Anarchy - in the midst of switching to Anarchy, he's in my face, and already was in mid animation of slamming his little torch which is an insta-kill. This, combined with being Baboon'd to orbit upon beating the boss when I actually did solo-flawless only for it not to count b/c of Bungie...this has been frustrating.

Bungie has known about it since the beginning but I doubt they'll fix it

I've lost flawless runs to his BS teleport into wall splatter technique. Probably working as intended, cause even if its not it won't be changed before the mission is gone.

It’s the weird rubber band glitch Bungie mentioned a month ago. It is very annoying, but they are aware of it so hopefully it will get fixed.

6 RepliesEvery freaking time. I gave up trying to get the solo flawless because of it. I'd jump down and shoot a tether and he'd be like "SURPRISE MF'R" and teleport behind me and kill me in one shot, ending every attempted flawless run.

Yes. Don’t venture very far into the room when you drop down or he teleports right next to you and insta-kills you. It’s BS.

I'm sure that Bungie will fix it, for a PRICE, maybe a anti glitching mod for 1000 Silver!

Yeah, I've had it happen to me several times. One even got me to the point of slamming my controller because he was almost dead. Best advice is to not go too far into the bottom room. Find one of his limbs sticking out, stick a few Anarchy shots or a Lasting Impression rocket on him, then let him run into the middle of the room because he isn't as likely to teleport if he has a straight path to someone.

Yup. Happens all the time. Did a solo run this week (no one wants to run it now that it doesn't give out a Pinnacle) for lore, and as soon as I jumped down, he was in my face. Luckily this wasn't my first time through because I expected that too happen and was jumping up just as he appeared. Bungie can lie all they want about it being Object Collision and such, but they programmed it to do that. Just like this Boss in the Proving grounds NightFall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBUpb5Vhu-Q It teleported from point A to Point B, where Point B was in my face.

Take a few steps forward until you can just see him. Damage him and move back. If you move too far forward he will teleport and appear right behind or in front of you.

Ha ha ha yes, I've even blown myself up with a rocket because he has gone from middle of the room to on top of me in a millisecond... Ah Bungie, we have some fun don't we?

That has been a thing since last Season

this happend even on Day one of Presage... just jump down and go up again... wait a Second... and Do it again if he's not standing there... do not use the Way down on the Middle cuz the jump up is higher and he still can burn you to a Crisp... do it on both of the sides... if he is standing there... spam Anarchy or... whatever weapon you like... Anarchy is Ez mode...

I've had it happen a few times. Sucks when it happens. Been able to get away from him twice now when he's done it.

2 RepliesThis been happening since the launch of presage. Many people got screwed when they tried solo flawless only for the boss to teleport right in front of them and kill them (I’m one of those). But a side note, Estorickk just literally solo’d the entire DSC raid. That dude is on another level. I will be attempting this dsc solo. But I need to first figure out how to get past the first part of the raid.

happens to me all the time, and i keep wasting a rocket, as soon as i pull the trigger I'm like oh yeah he's gonna teleport in my face haha

Remember when Bungie said there were Champions in the mission, [i]but we never see any Champions?[/i] Bungie put the power of several Overload Captains into the Locus of Communion. Instead of rapid teleportation, he gets to literally [b][i]"NOTHING PERSONNEL, KID"[/i][/b] you anytime he feels like.
