I think it would be cool if Bungie added emblems for people who risk their lives for their countries and to save others. Veterans, firefighters, police officers, etc.
Edit: I have been seeing a lot of misunderstanding in the comments. The pins are for showing you are in support of these professions, not necessarily that you are a veteran or an officer. The money from the pins could go to causes such as helping them with things like depression and ptsd.

I dont think the police one's will sell well judging by how the police are acting in america 😓

5 RepliesEdited by Sage: 4/3/2021 2:04:12 PMOnly for veterans. Veterans get the shaft in our society despite how much we spend on defense. Firefighters sure. But police? They gotta get their shit in order first.
-
14 RepliesFirefighters and Vets yes. Police....in theory yes but they need to get their house in order first.

How about a pin/emblem that is country specific, the money generated from sales could then go to charities in that country. It'd be good to be able to show support for people in our own countries and also buy additional pins/emblems to show support for people in different countries.

18 RepliesHow about us essential workers that never got a shutdown and still had to work every day even during the biggest Covid Outbreak timeline.

They get wages

1 ReplyWe call them medals and they're given to people IRL and not in-game. Just saying.

16 RepliesEdited by Hunter-Max99: 4/1/2021 8:36:44 AMA police officer emblem would get you hate mail left and right. Sad but that’s how it is nowadays. But I like the idea.

1 ReplyI agree. Bungie probable wont do anything of the sort because, you know, double standards...smh
-
7 RepliesI feel like this could be a really cool initiate to show support to a even wider part of their community. The Hong Kong pin - to show support for a nation that's been suppressed carrying the water of the free world by their own gov The Fire fighter pin - to show support for those that risked their lives for the Australian bush fires earlier last year The Police pin - Bring awareness to the risks these people face on a day-to-day basis to keep everyone safe from each other.
Rest in peace, Chad Walker
And last but certainty not least, the Veteran pin - Those who have been through hell and back, money for this can be donated to the suicide prevention of PTSD-stricken vets

That’s actually a really heart-warming idea, idk how to describe it but it should absolutely be a thing. Even Brawlhalla had a special emote in support of veterans (and blm too), and giving those people credits when its dued is always a good thing imo.

10 RepliesEdited by Doctor_Roidberg: 4/1/2021 10:37:03 PMAs much as I’d love to see Bungie drop some of the hypocriticality, I would be the hypocrite to drop my standard. Keep political pushing points out of video games. Period. Edit: I still appreciate this post for exposing Bungie’s double standard. Can’t wait for it to get locked for “Political Discussion” while the Black Lives Matter post from dmg is still pinned under the Rating tab

2 RepliesEdited by DeathPony07: 4/1/2021 3:48:30 PMThey should, but they won't, because they only care about pandering and being woke and politically correct. I need a time machine back to the 90's. The people who voted no don't know what actual heroes are. Being part of a specific social group doesn't make you a hero or special. You're a human like everyone else. Heroic actions define who the heroes are.

12 RepliesEdited by Andy-ALAW BEEP-BEEP: 4/1/2021 5:33:45 PMWouldn’t work Bungie support BLM and they want to defund the police so we can only guess what Bungie thinks that of law enforcement
-
8 RepliesYeah it sounds nice but you're not gonna have bungie expressing military support lol. Maybe one for Frontline workers like nurses and firefighters and police officers. But definitely not for military, that's a little to political
-
I’d like to see it for veterans. It’s probably crappy to say and should go for everyone - but I always feel more patient dealing with or taking advice from someone online who I know has been through some shit
-
8 RepliesEdited by LukeT43: 4/1/2021 7:48:30 PMI agree! They have implemented a BLM icon and a Trans icon. What about veterans and first responders! I feel like there is a very large disconnect between the two. Those people have fought and lost their lives for you to be able to do that! Show some respect for the people that gave you your freedom.

Edited by Boldly Going Nowhere: 4/2/2021 11:52:39 AMIf anyone deserves an emblem, it’s the retail shop floor workers in supermarkets in the past year.

11 RepliesI want a Hong Kong emblem/pin

11 RepliesCops murder veterans murder belonging to either group doesn't automatically make you a hero delivering pizza is more dangerous than being a cop and they don't shoot your dogs keep your bootlicking out my video games
