20 charges, 4 focuses on Chosen Destruction. I would LIKE to farm for Code Duellos but the game has decided to give me Threaded Needles all 4 times. Farming 20 charges and the umbrals to use them on takes a decent amount of time. I should at least be able to pick which type of weapon I want to get, the rng can be what perks I'm given. Again, 4 charges is a lot to ask and I have much better luck using 1 charge to focus chosen arms or no charges for chosen implements. The risk/reward factor is more beneficial there and considering how cheap it is, that should not be the case.

Edited by PVP SUX: 4/19/2021 8:43:06 PMWhat Bungie seem to have forget is to grasp the level of FUN contra GRIND, what a game gives the player for completing tasks. I do not mind the grind as long as it's fair. What i do mind is gathering materials, upgrading every vendor and then the war table. Getting more materials just to end up with 200 similar weapons and gear in the vault. And i don't know exactly what to dismantle as many of the have good traits. Bungie sure does not give us much to work with and trial and error take way to long time. If it was down to ten guns that could happen. But not with 85 as of now. I'd rather have the old D2 back without any hesitation what so ever. So what are we supposed to hunt for in the Season of the witch queen? Socket a rune into a BROOM? And all gear have a spider and pumpkin theme. It can not be as bad as the Moon Loot. I wonder who are accountable for that garbage!

1 ReplyIt staggers me (and also it doesn't) that Bungie decided to expand on the umbral engram system, after it got good feedback first time around, and have managed to make it worse. 🙄🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷

This has been the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever.

2 RepliesWhat perk roll are you looking for?

34 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 3/8/2021 1:04:39 PMThis is why I have a problem with how Bungie’s “Investment Team” structures the game’s rewards. Everything seems to be about, “How can we be withholding and prolong play.” When it should be, “How can we reward the player and encourage them to dive even deeper?” Generosity isn’t the enemy..., and manipulating drop rates angers the playerbase. The Gambit hand cannon is becoming a meme, the drop rate is so bad. I played 10 games last night, with the drop booster on my Ghost. Three fusion rifles. Not one hand cannon. Which is fine with me...now that Bungie caved on sunsetting...my vault is bursting with good hand cannons. But anyone looking at getting a specific roll is looking at thousands of games of Gambit. No one in their right mind is going to do that.

1 ReplyYeah its a joke, even with the perk chart unlocked to speed it up. Hopefully as we move forward now, we'll see Luke Smith's toxic influence fade away a but more each season.
-
Check out the article on Forbes. It’s best to stick to methods that require 1 charge.
-
4 RepliesTook less time to run 4 menagerie runs than it does to get 20 charges. Menagerie let you focus on the specific weapon you wanted, and the masterwork that you wanted with it. R.I.P Menagerie, Best Matchmade activity destiny has ever had.

Tier 3 focusing is a waste of time and charges. My initial thought: HA THE ENTIRE D2 COMMUNITY JUST GOT BUNGIED YET AGAIN! LOOOOOOOOL. Xbox record that.
-
4 RepliesI'd love a good roll on Code Duello but don't have the time to farm using this method. Its just not worth it.
-
Did it once for the challenge. Won't do it again. Underwhelming return on investment.
-
Edited by Seoul: 3/9/2021 7:50:15 PMI just don't do it.
-
At this point I’m just deleting umbrals. The effort to reward ratio is way out of balance. Season of the hunt did focused gear farming way better and managerie was top notch.
-
I don't focus unless a quest requires it.
-
Most Umbreal Engrams I get are usually lower than my light level and always end being sharded. They need to revamp that in someway
-
1 ReplyA total waste. I enjoy the Battlegrounds horde mode. Mindless fun. The focusing of Engrams is an unrewarding joke.
-
I dont get why T3 isnt for a specific weapon and why the limit is so low or hell there in the first place. Bungie needs to stop being stingy with everything. The community was always happy when we just got our loot. Its not hard ffs.
-
1 ReplyNot just that. It REDUCES the power level of the engram when you focus it. I had a 1309 reduce to a 1300 after a tier 2 focus. Never focus again after that - the engrams are useless anyway, they drop at 1300
-
Yes the rest of the game is such a great use of time 😜
-
2 RepliesI am very experienced in the disappointment of RNG in this game, it didn’t take me long to realise that doing anything in row 2 or 3 was a complete waste of my time. I’ve always just done the “armour or weapon from this season ” for legendary shards on the top row, I have all the god rolls I wanted in all categories.
-
Its all to increase play time
-
I agree the amount of time it takes to get to three code of destruction and then you're limited to how many you cannot have a one week it's stupid because for those higher tier one and tier 2 are useless
-
2 RepliesYes it is. Did it one time for the Triumph - but that's the only time.
-
3 Replies“You want everything just handed to you?” “Everything in this game is too easy to get!” Sound familiar.
-
please delete that pistol I don't care to remember the name for

Bruh this whole game is a waste of time.
