3 RepliesThe way people play has also killed sweatcicle There is more unsportsmanship in D2 pvp than black ops 2 on a bad day Go and play CoD Battlefield titanfall fortnite then come back and you will see the sinkhole of toxic play that goes on in destiny People camping in mayhem just says it all The obsession with KD and 30 to 50 bombs whilst not giving a toss about plays or teamwork or map knoweledge or even bloody winning says it all Don't get me wrong yes all pvp these days across every game can be plauged with this when you have the masses all doing it but destiny wins the crown for it currently Thank God for the 1% that don't and that gives me hope

Edited by BrothaMob: 2/12/2021 12:00:19 PMI laughed so hard when I was getting frozen by players that didn’t even have a direct line of sight on me. It’s the worst designed PVP experience ever created especially after they added stasis. Using the easy button and being rewarded with no skill kills is the least rewarding feeling in a PVP game IMO. Destiny PVP would be great if it was gun play with a touch of space magic but it’s the complete opposite. The skill ceiling is so low in this game it makes me laugh getting matched against a full team of players who act as if they are playing in some made up tournament and it’s the finals. 😂

Destiny pvp has already been killed, when Bungie chose for peer-to-peer, instead for dedicated servers.

2 RepliesEdited by ShrewdShogun: 2/12/2021 12:32:06 AMOh you don't like play testing how Stasis operates in the crucible on a low number of **** maps? You don't like how we never get any new game modes and have had all our armour and guns sunset so we can't use them for any end game PvP? You don't like how pinnacle weapons (like Redrix) were sunset only for Bungie to reuse the pinnacle traits on new weapons coming out this season like the Adept version of Messenger? (https://www.light.gg/db/items/1173780905/the-messenger-adept/) The community managers are a disgrace and do not address any concerns regarding Crossplay either. Posts like this have gotten me banned on this forum before which always surprises me because the moderators think Bungie actually reads anything here lol. Hi Moderators you bunch of *****. Edit: Spelling

They are neglecting PvP for Destiny because they have all their PvP developers working on the new game. Bungie's long term plan is to have Destiny 2 as their PvE money maker and the new game as their PvP money maker. This also means that they won't have to constantly try balance the sandbox for PvE and PvP in destiny 2 either. That's my theory anyway.

1 ReplyEdited by Seoul: 2/12/2021 1:12:26 PMPersonally I'm just done with the game now, pvp is just reduced to freezing and one shot kill playstyles., and PVE is just too repetitive for my liking. The power grind has been going on for years now, I am just tired of it. I'll just log on for any special events from now on.

1 ReplyI love this game and generally don’t complain. But I hate to say that I agree 😢. I do enjoy jumping over to play Halo once in a while; the balance is refreshing.
-
9 RepliesEdited by HaVoK308: 2/11/2021 10:54:08 PMUntil Bungie announces Dedicated Servers, there’s nothing worth talking about. That’s step one. And every customers that remotely cares about PVP should demand it.

2 RepliesNothing has been done to PVP, other than breaking it, since Activision left. Bungie has no clue how to do multiplayer.

It’s absolutely game breaking. No flow whatsoever anymore. I’d love to help their (bungo) bottom set of teeth meet with the top of their cranium. T w a t s.
-
4 RepliesThey legit have monkeys play test this game...
-
What new they put in DOZENS of abilitys grenades supers which will never be balanced. Bungie has always had messed up pvp
-
Bungie love cheaters, and cheaters kill PvP...
-
Prefer it if they killed Gambit
-
5 RepliesYep. It's getting worse over time with the more no skill crap they add. Less and less actual gunfights.

Edited by Hairycaballs: 2/12/2021 12:36:32 PMDestiny would have been better of launching without pvp then this problem wouldn’t have happened and destiny could’ve been a lot more successful. Pvp does require a lot of upkeep and quite frankly it’s not worth it if you want a pvp experience play COD or overwatch, personally I love destiny as a PvE experience
-
That’s not the only thing.
-
D2 PvP, abysmal since beta.
-
Peer-to-peer is killing D2 PvP.
-
Bungies network architecture is horrendously outdated. If they ever want PvP to actually mean something and be considered competitive in any way, they need to update their architecture.
-
P2P...what could go wrong (for 7 years)?

Edited by GalaxySpider: 2/12/2021 11:26:05 AMGood riddance though
