Stop saying we. Some of us prefer sunsetting to the alternative, which is creating a brand new game every few years.
Sunsetting has literally always been a thing in these kinds of games, I don't understand why people are so confused about it.

Loot games are at there worst when it’s a checklist. If gear lasts forever it becomes a Auto rifle I like (check) 1 set of good stat armour (check) Good power weapon (check) Well looks like I’ve beat destiny I have no reason to EVER farm again. That’s an awful system sunsetting is needed and like you said is in plenty of loot games

Except sunsetting is creating a brand new game every 3 months, the only problem i have with that is the continuous grinding to keep your gear updated to participate in end game activities, and that loot is the same one you grinded last season but with different perks...it just becomes a tedious grind of the stuff you already seen, i play games mainly because of cool new stuff waiting for you at the end of a hard, fun, mission/quest, but just repeating the same playlists over and over and over and over just to get the same gun you like because your old one has been power capped and its bullets turned into paper bullets, its very off-putting imo

Not really accurate. If you grind for new guns in the new season they are going to be good for a year.

Said "we" once and many people have the same opinion so not unwarranted, and sun setting wasn't in d1, dude even an mmorpg like W.O.W doesn't have sun setting. Not everyone has the time to grind for all new gear. Sorry about the excessive aggression in my post just upset about having to get all new gear after all the old masterworks can't be upgraded.

Dude, they literally sunset all of our most beloved weapons from D1, y1, including my all time favorite weapon, Fatebringer. Also, at the end of Destiny 1 year 3, they sunset every single weapon in the game when they released D2.
