No way hand canons should even have a chance against a pulse rifle or a scout but hand canons destroy both from across maps. Nerf range and aim assist on hc’s or buff damage on pulse and scouts.

7 RepliesLast time Bungie nerfed handcanons, they were useless for a year, and we were left with a meta of gnawing hunger half wits. Here's a tip, if you're going to use a long ranged weapon, use it at long ranges.
-
Maps were shrunk for D2. It’s no wonder why scout rifles aren’t doing well in PvP.

The sandbox is in the best place it's been in all of d2!

4 RepliesHand cannons have a slower TTK then both of those weapon types currently.
-
2 RepliesBuff pulse? What are you smoking i think everything is very balanced. Mybe the 120 has a little advantage but its high risk high reward.
-
Every time they tuned hand cannons down they became unusable with a couple that still were good. Bungie doesn't make tiny adjustments.
-
7 RepliesOr don’t engage a HC with a pulse within 30m, they’re RANGED weapons for a reason
-
No, I main scout rifles and they're fine where they are, adapt your play style to your weapon, stay at range and be a play maker, take pot shots and assist your team
-
Hahahahaha no. Scouts do just fine, trials last week was a perfect example of that.
-
Huh? What are you on about?

8 RepliesEdited by Dante: 12/24/2020 3:48:19 PMjust nerf 120s range its ridiculous right now and buff dmg on pulses and scouts?they have best ttk ingame if u doesnt know lol.

1 ReplyFigures your hunter has a Bastian and Gnawing equipped lol, But yeah hc are in a much better place then they were, the fact that all their archetypes are decent is amazing. though I'm for buffing archetypes that are lacking like pulse rifle 450's, 540's rpm, and also 180 scouts. every other archetype for other weapons are fine. I'm so happy crutch 600 rpm autos aren't meta anymore, took absolutely no skill lmao

This is probably the most balanced primary weapons have been since d1. We finally have some sort of true equilibrium and, at least from a console players perspective, despite a few standout exotics, the weapon sandbox is better than its ever been.
-
26 Replies“across map” lol no handcannon is destroying you unless you have potato aim.
-
4 RepliesIt isn’t the weapons that are the problem. It’s the fact that bungie can’t make a good map to utilize them.
-
1 ReplyCalling for a Hand cannon nerf after they just got their range back? Most if not all of the primaries are useful in pvp. This almost never happens in Destiny. Just find your niche.
-
Nerf, never. Fix, adjust, yes. And while they are at it, make the maps a bit bigger and make shotguns realistic to what their range stats say they are.
-
3 RepliesThis is the best meta in D2 apart from stasis
-
2 RepliesWe just need bigger maps and modes like combined arms where scout and pulse rifles can thrive.

16 RepliesYou have Jotunn equipped, had bastion on another character and now have witherhoard on. We see you.

20 RepliesEdited by snifflyfob: 12/23/2020 4:05:45 PM140rpm hand cannons have an optimal ttk of 0.87s and 120's and 180's have a flat 1.00s. aggressive pulses have 0.67s (same as prenerf not forgotten) and 150rpm scouts have a 0.8s with enormous aim assist. So on top of having way better ttk's, way less recoil and ease of use, what else do you need? A 120 user will never win against a pulse if the pulse user has even two active braincells.
-
Nope 👎
-
1 ReplyAt each weapons optimal range a HC will never out range a scout.
-
Played with ace, hawkmeh, cold denial and trustee this week in trials and comp. All performed well.

Depends where you're shooting from. If you're using a scout or pulse within handcannon range then sure you'll more than likely lose. Try switching up your loadout to suit the map.
