Hawkmoon (D1):
22 Rate of fire (basically 138 RpM), 81-84 impact
26-47 Range, 26-46 Stability
39-46 Reload, 13 Mag size
35 - 50 Aim assist, 60 - 80 Recoil
Main perks; Luck in the Chamber, Holding Aces (2 more lucky bullets that can stack on luck / each other)
Hawkmoon (D2):
140 RpM, 78 impact
61 Range, 76 Stability, 63 Reload speed, 93 Aim assistance, 96 Recoil
Main perks; Paracausal shot (Final round that scales upon how many crits you hit / kills during the current magazine), a Random Rolled perk (The only one in the series on an exotic weapon)
Conclusion:
Hawkmoon in Destiny 2 is almost a complete buffed version of itself in terms of stats, and instead of being a gimmick weapon that revolves around cheesing your opponent via Luck in the Chamber and Holding Aces, Hawkmoon [D2] compliments the user's skill in consecutive Precision hits to reward a faster TTK than many other primary weapons
Please, Keep the current Hawkmoon and it's stats (Change the name for the community or whatever if it is that bad), and do not re-implement Holding Aces and LitC; the new Transformative perk lets people grind for this weapon for any ideal roll as well (Double-edged sword), and it makes the weapon fill more than just one roll

The new hawk moon is my new favorite gun. Can’t wait to get random rolls on it
-
Should've just named it something else. Also man that random perk is what threw me off. Just gonna shard it when i get it. Good thing I can just hope on D1 and use the real hawkmoon. Sucks they always gotta change shit when it doesn't need it.
-
The real question is if the set of rolls will ever be update for the inevitable addition of new perks
-
7 RepliesLast thing this game needs is random D2ers luck perks lmao. Luck in the Chamber has no place in this game.
-
D2 Hawkmoon is literally just my God Roll Austringer with Final Round.
-
I really like it ..
-
9 RepliesD2 hawkmoon is trash don’t lie to yourself bro
-
There’s only 1 Hawkmoon. I’m laughing too at the guys who are ok with this because D2, but they crying to keep the original Fatebringer stats. SMH
-
The gun is fine, it just requires some skill to be the most effective
So as a complete idiot who can’t aim for shit, the gun is not for me. It’s fine overall tho
1 ReplyI feel like D2 hawkmoon feels like a solid hand cannon, but its perk seem to benefit pve play much more. It's ironic that they took an amazing HC for pvp and turned it into a good pve hand cannon.
-
I hear you, but as an rng lover, I have to prefer the ultimate rng gun. I love rolling the dice, and I will always love OG hawk moon. Call me whatever name you want. Just don’t let me near any casinos because I will lose all my money.

1 ReplyEdited by Gringo: 12/11/2020 6:03:48 AMI highly doubt it has an Aim Assist of 93. That is BS.. My Dire Promise has Aim Assist of 87 and hits way more shots than I can with Hawkmoon. Watching other streamers use it and they all said I am missing my shots with this thing. I hear ya dudes. Sometimes 5 shots 3 hits. Dire Promise 6 shots 5 hit. Aim=93 vs Aim=87. It doesn't compute...

8 RepliesD1 perks hawkmoon is better D2 stats are better. The AA ,range and stability on hawkmoon is amazing
-
2 RepliesYou're right except the mag nerf why 9 what was wrong with having 13?
-
5 RepliesPeople say that Year 1 D1 Hawkmoon is better than what we have now. Yet I almost never saw Hawkmoon being used in both regular pvp and in trials. Why? Because Suros, Thorn and The Last Word existed. Why compete with luck when you had more reliable options. Hence the argument now. D2 Hawkmoon is better than year 1 because you can use the bonus damage more reliably in game.
-
This one made me laugh hahahaha Sure sure 😂🤣
-
D2 Hawkmoon= screeching hawk D1 Hawkmoon= no screeching Hawk D2 Hawkmoon wins.
-
You cannot compare the current to previous hawkmoon, as they are completely different. I don’t like the D1 gun at all and love the D2 version, however it shouldn’t have been named Hawkmoon
But if it was a new gun entirely, it wouldn’t have gotten the hype a fan favorite gun would
2 RepliesThese numbers you shown mean nothing lol. They are just scalars for the weapon archetype. In D1 year 1, The Last Word with its terrible range could cross map people aiming down sights. Over the years Bungie has adjusted the scalar values. The amount you see on each gun is the amount the gun will receive from that scalar at that time.

1 ReplyCan people stop saying “well it was good in D1 Year 1.” That’s like saying the Vex was so amazing throughout the entirety of the game just because it was good for a month or two. The Hawkmoon that is in D1 currently is the one people should be comparing—they nerfed it for a reason and if they didn’t reverse it for two years in D1, I don’t think they’re going to randomly get a change of heart and implement that version in D2, especially since they’ve blatantly stated they don’t like having luck as a factor in gun play. Go into D1 now and use Hawkmoon. It’s trash. Go into D2 now and use Hawkmoon. It’s phenomenal in both PvE and PvP. If the perk is too much risk for you in PvP, just use it like a normal Hand Cannon, for many players the stats alone will justify the exotic slot. No cheese, no luck, no gimmick—if you truly are good with a Hand Cannon you’ll see the power of Hawkmoon in D2.
-
In conclusion: just use ace.
-
I never hated luck in the chamber as much as everyone in the community as much I guess I kind liked the rng on hawkmoon for the god bullet
-
Oh noo, you came up with a well formed conclusion with facts . People are not gonna go for this
-
They should’ve made it another exotic
-
They just need to give us the fire ornament from d1 and its perfect.

9 RepliesComparing stats means absolutely nothing, when weapons handle and feel COMPLETELY different between the 2 games. D2 Hawkmoon is dope. End of story.
