Changes would have been fine fine, nerfing every part of a new kit and leaving the other classes untouched is not good balance.

3 RepliesAgree my friend and I both are warlocks and we always thoughts the warlock has been jipped and when this came out I was like oh yeah now we can compete with Titans and hunters and be of some help in pve too nope bungie had to take it away my friend even said it was probably going to be nerfed because Warlocks always got to be on the bottom end. This makes me want to put the controller down and say you know what I’m done destiny use to be fun but now these days it’s made for the streamers and the viewers that watch them not the veterans or the players that want to have fun and just play to have fun.

10 RepliesMelee range nerf was indeed unjustified, especially with the fact that they nerfed frozen duration, speed and on top of that range is just stupidity highest level.

5 RepliesYeah the melee nerf was too much. The super and freezing nerf was fine for pvp. I mean people were dodging the melee all the time. It wasn't an auto kill ability. This nerf was for nubs that don't move.

Majority won't have even been able to try out the stasis class yet

It BAFFLES me how Bungie missed the most powerful issue with the melee - it freezes on impact. NO other melee freezes they all slow. But nah they kept it and just neutered the range and speed so even a shank could dodge it. Nice 👍

7 Replies[b]WARLOCK[/b] 20% melee speed reduction. freeze duration from 4.75s to 1.35s melee range reduced from 28m to 16m. ice flare bolts freeze duration from 4.75s to 1.35s. [b]ALL[/b] coldsnap grenade tracking speed reduced 23%. freeze duration from 4.75s to 1.35s [b]CONCLUSION[/b] Overkill, and especially because of the grenade with the aspect tied specifically to it. 1.35s of freeze duration is trash, it does not allow optimal utility or use of abilities nor does it feel as if you used an ability to potentially punish an enemy, it went from having little to no conunterplay to being inconsistent as best and useless at worst. (which happens more often) The same happened with penumbral blast, too many nerfs all at the same time without thinking about the effect it might have as far as balance in the game. Stasis warlock melee already has an innate distance to where it has deadzone to activate their melee ability. Now on top of speed reduction, a range cap, and freeze reduction making the melee activation extremely limiting. The super adjustment seems fine regardless, as it was glitched in pve and a bit too much in pvp, 30s duration down to 24s now. If anything coldsnap grenade needs to be brought up to 2.5s freeze duration. The Iceflares should be should either be the saem duration or 2s.

The other classes are more or less fine. The warlock melee needs it's range back, but don't act like the other classes should have been nuked as well. [i]Maybe[/i] the Titan is a bit fast in their super with their melee, but beyond that, I don't think the other two are overtuned. People just overreact to being slowed or frozen.

7 RepliesWarlock stasis was far and away, miles better than both titan and hunter versions in pretty much every way. This is coming from someone who barely used to use his warlock and now wants to main it just because of stasis. The warlock stasis needed toning down to bring it in line with the other 2. They couldn't have brought the other 2 up because its just making us too powerful in pve and pvp. The warlock nerf was the only way to go and it was totally justified for both pve and pvp. Have they gone too far? I don't know, I haven't tried it yet, but if they have gone a little too far they just bring it back up a touch and voila. Everyone needs to stop whining, this was fully justified and even the "pvp ruins pve" gang must see that.

Warlock nerfs aside my favorite nerf was to Coldsnap. Now pvp is nothing but big suck duskfield nades. GG bungie.

13 RepliesI’m absolutely rolling over this crap. With Nova Warp they at least had like a month or so of busted play Nah bro, not even a week. Props to Bungie for quick response, but that’s a lesser issue to the looming nerf hammer sending Winter’s Wrath to the Shadow Realm Nerfing the melee effectiveness I get. Reducing the Seeker speed in super I kinda get? Reducing the duration by a full six seconds is absurd.
