Оne -blam!-ing suit for the price of your whole dlc. This not normal. let's say I need 600 silver, but I can only buy 500 and 1000. This is disgusting.
Тotal. I have not bought overpriced cosmetics. I won't buy a dlc because you are nuts and you might send it to the junkyard next year.
UPD
I think it's worth clarifying.
I am not from the US, not from the EU. My entire working day can cost like a suit for one character. I paint cars. It's not an easy job, but I love it. Anyone who wants to tell me what to do can go where I will tell you. Yes. I got the main game for a promotion on the batelnet, but I bought all the following add-ons and not the most simple versions. Microtransactions are evil. But I was ready to put up with them while the price is sane. I even bought cosmetics here for the whisper of the worm (they nerf it later) Maybe in other regions it is not so, but in my one suit for the price of a full dlc or half a deluxe edition, and I think that this is nonsense. The forum thread is called "reviews". This is my. One suit + Beyond Light = CyberPunk. Be healthy.

6 RepliesCyberpunk. Can’t wait to quit destiny. Bungie could learn a thing or two from cd project red. Might remind bungie how they used to be.

5 RepliesDuring a pandemic with millions out of work.... To charge this much is a statement that Bungie doesn't care about the less fortunate people in society. Guess you have to be rich to play video games now too. Unless you are extremely irresponsible.
-
unfortunately, that is the nature of the modern gaming industry. i came from an era where a video game came fully packed for $49. If there was a DLC, it was free, but ultimately, you got all of Super Mario, or Halo in one bundle. Then came the concept of microtransactions and DLC's that people were willing to pay for, and it allows studios to release games less frequently, but continue to have a limitless source of income. It's a necessary evil of a free market capitalism. I hate microtransactions as much as the next guy, but I'd rather have the freedom of not buying it, then have some socialistic institution tell me I MUST buy it.

I know it's been said before that gaming is an expensive hobby, but holy sh*t it's starting to show

Upvoting because I think this discussion deserves a formal response. Tho I don't think it will get one directly before it gets locked or buried.

Highest voted post in awhile and not a single comment from Bungie or a moderator.

3 RepliesYeah bring on Cyberpunk 2077. It is going to kill Destiny dead! Can't wait....

Edited by Wolfborn: 10/16/2020 9:40:03 AMRecently i spent a lot of silver on my warlocks outfit i didn't mind spending the cash because my characters appearance is a source of personal satisfaction. But then the Phoenix Protocol dropped for me and of course using that ruined the look of the outfit i had bought because i cant transmog it with my purchased outfit. And because Bungie made the choice to make it ugly , i spent the 600 silver to get the appearance upgrade. I understand that times have been tough Bungie but i hope that with beyond light you don't have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get my cash.

you are the one who is crazy, you only need dlc to play all the content of the game. who forced you to buy silver.

19 RepliesRepeat after me: DON'T BUY MICROTRANSACTIONS The price of microtransactions are high because people are willing to buy them at that price. It is simple economics. If you think the price is too high, just don't buy it. This does 2 things for you: 1. You get to keep the money instead of wasting it on overpriced pixels. 2. You lower the demand which inevitably leads to lower prices. You don't NEED to get the fancy new cosmetic armor, so don't waste money if you think it's overpriced.
-
I agree that some items are overpriced. Personally I feel that the weapon ornaments are about right, but the fact that some emotes cost 1000 silver and some cost 200 is just staggering to me. Completely arbitrary.
-
1 ReplyI think you misspelled "crazy". The correct way is "ridiculous" or alternatively "greedyasfrick"

i just spent $600 on casino coins for a pc game. still dont wanna give any more to destiny.
-
...then don't buy it. I bought it because I wanted it, but I know it cost money.

2 RepliesImagine how much more fun the game could be if all the cosmetics in eververse could be earned through activities in the game. Ill tell you right now if that happened imagine how much more full the game would be, there would also be incentive to actually do stuff. Like why do a master nighfall for some materials when you can do it for a exotic cosmetic or if that flawless challenge in the raid rewarded the raid weapon (for that raid) cosmetic. But alas non of that will happen since they would rather make a quick buck then actually make good quality content or quests

Pretty typical for mobile games. Not sure what it’s doing in a full price “Triple A experience”, but it has been for a long time.

4 RepliesLove all these people claiming how rich they are on a kids game forum 😂

1 ReplyJust don't buy it. It's supply and demand. If enough boobs are willing to pay these prices, they will continue to be that high. Heck, I have bought things on Eververse before, but only reasonably priced items.

Edited by damnter: 10/15/2020 5:50:36 PMWanna solve this problem? Just don't buy silver. I never have and never will, because it's rewarding bad behavior. Rewards should be earned. Not bought. That's why the game has become so 'hollow'. There are hardly any interesting ore really wanted in game items, because they put everything behind a paywall. It's one off the biggest problems this game has got. No real insentive to play.

7 RepliesEdited by Noble 6: 10/14/2020 2:58:45 PMThe best trick the AAA-games-industry ever pulled was to convince people that 10+ bucks microtransactions are normal and that we should indeed use the term MICRO-transactions for stuff that's the same price as a high quality indie-game.

Use bright dust only

5 RepliesYeah, you're right, the price of dlc is really to cheap ! Should be at least 60$ ! Would you be happier in this scenario ?
-
1 ReplyYep it's -blam!-ed... Don't purchase silver...
