Are you serious do you actually think stuff through? You can't expect people to do that level of competition. Not all people are able to. You should stick to only match making comp. Bungie you are so stupid.

Edited by Haavoc: 8/23/2020 3:30:40 PMAs a long time Destiny and Bungie fan that is not great a PvP, yes, this is very frustrating. I love the story and team challenges but just not great at PvP. This is another case where they are punishing those that are not good at it. I am fine having to participate and grind things out, but Trials has been a nightmare. I have put in stupid hours and met some of the most toxic players that get frustrated even when you say in the fireteam invite that you suck or that you have a sub 1kd score. I was really looking forward to this season and actually had fun until I had to play Trials. And to be honest, I still don't understand what I really get once I do it other than my legs glow. I am sure once I grind out those last 2 wins I will be hugely frustrated that I did all that work for glowy legs.

1 ReplyIt’s to get more normal people into trials. It won’t happen but trials would be better if exotics and pinnacle weapons and armor were removed. It removes crutch weapons and makes it more about skill. Makes it harder by removing player build buffs. Actually my complaint is you need 7 trials wins for each set. If you run more then 1 character, each has to do it. 3 characters means 21 wins are required. I finished hunter and don’t know if it’s worth it for the other ones. That’s too much trials.
-
1 ReplyABLE TO or WANT TO. You can EASILY go to the lfg part of this app and start a fireteam for trials wins for the solstice armor. I PROMISE, you will have a full team in 5 minutes or less. Stop -blam!- because you have to actually talk to another person or just dont want to have to exert any effort to get shit.

Bungie was very very stupid on this..
-
I have never felt more frustrated playing this game. I can understand the need to include pvp requirements in event objectives. I enjoy some light crucible play, although I’m not very good. But the 7 win trials requirement is just ridiculous and frustrating for people like me who are not geared for and not skilled in pvp.

4 RepliesIt's another way to punish the casual and solo players.
-
Totally agree! Before starting the grind, I went over the requirements and as soon as I saw the Trial requirement I knew that this was a lame attempt by Bungie to have more ppl join Trials cause nobody wants to play it (I wonder why? lol). There is no way I will be doing it! Bungie can keep their white glow. No amount of loot of any sort can entice me with playing the total BS that is Trials! Worst playlist ever, populated by the worst kind of gamers ever! Trials should go away, and it will... because less and less ppl is playing it. It will simply die on its own, you'll see.

It sucks for an average player.
-
I'm giving it a crack and it sucks! I'm average at best but do ok in survival. Should of put survival as step would of so much more straight forward.

I'm personally staying clear of that one. I don't really understand the outrage tho, it's for a prototype ornament that only works on that gear and doesn't even fully master work it like previous years
-
3 RepliesDont people realize they can just not do it? No one is forcing you. Countless pve items we have to slog through and all that is heard is complaining about 1 pvp requirement. You want it, grind it out. If not, dont.
-
1 ReplyIt will lose it's meaning anyway cauz the white glow is not a universal ornament unlike the colored super glows you can buy in the store (and the ornaments are basically the exact same armor of course). So why even wasting your time if we don't even know how transmog works?
-
2 RepliesEdited by CookieNiki: 8/16/2020 6:50:33 PMIt's a glow dude. How important can that be to endure that level of frustration playing a failed PvP activity? To be honest, the whole event is garbage, it's just a low effort filler for the next 30 days.
-
You can't expect people to truly feel like heroes until they experienced what Trials truly is.
-
I'm also not terribly happy about this decision, but there are advantages to Bungie. 1. Introduce players who have not tried Trials 2. Increase the concurrent player base for a low traffic game mode Honestly? If there was a solo matchmaking mode, I'd be for it. But cheating is still a major problem, and the elitist mindset players make this thoroughly un-enjoyable when trying to match make a team. I agree - would have liked the option between Trials and / or competitive matches.
-
Aren’t the white glows tied to the actual armor and not the ornaments? So outside of getting a triumph or two completed, what’s the point of going for the white glow if you don’t like it?
-
1 ReplyThey’re actually really smart Trials is a failure so they add it as one of the steps Trials numbers increase and as a side bonus they get to help streamers increase their revenue when people go running to them for carries Streamers praise bungie, trials look like a success and bungie get to look after the only people they care about Genius really
not all people are able to
Yeah thats the point

Good thing I use exotic boots 🤙

5 RepliesIt’s just a glow. Doesn’t help in the game. You can still master work if you like the armor. Get the glow on the pieces you want without all the headaches. Screw Bungie for trying to force people to play trials.
-
Edited by The White Rabbit: 8/16/2020 9:29:06 PMGot my first six wins in under an hour. But for the last 3 hours been queuing into flawless after flawless after flawless after flawless. One win to go and this shit is just breaking me. Trials is nothing but pure poison. The worst thing is Saint’s voice is starting to really annoy me. Shitty -blam!-ing ‘russian’ makes me want to punch a hole through my tv. [Edit] Took an hour break, got utterly destroyed by a flawless team again. On a blank card.

1 ReplyBungie could have done something radical and turned on matchmaking for the event. A huge influx of new players would have changed the whole nature of the experience. Unfortunately Bungie seem incapable of really understanding the consequences of their actions at times.

They want you to get discouraged....and just pay the 15.00 and buy from EverVerse. Win-Win for them. Either you grind it out, or pay it out!!
