Let me get this straight, for SoH, to upgrade the gear to a magnificent set, we need to do the following: Master NF Ordeal. I can probably find a group for that. Three T5 Alters of Sorrow. Easy, but time consuming. 7 Trials wins. WTF??? Pit of Heresy. Never done it, finally have a reason to. Complete a Nightmare Hunt. Easy, unless you add a high difficulty requirement. What I can't help but shake my head about is the Trials part, something that proves you don't even play, probably don't even test your own game. Let's list the problems this gamemode has: PC is rampant with cheaters, cheaters that take WEEKS for you to ban. A large portion of which could be found if you checked Destiny Tracker for a few minutes a day. We're also not expected to get any solutions besides an in game report, an account report, and a report on Bungie.net. You want us to report the guy up to THREE TIMES just so you can ban him, only for him to switch accounts and do it again. I personally find it FUBAR when most, if not all of them are doing paid carries. They are making more in an hour than anyone here is earning in a day with overtime by cheating in a F2P game. At this point, you should be compensating all Flawless runs ruined by cheaters, especially when they'll just be back on two minutes later if by the off chance they get banned mid game. The MM system is just terrible. If a team can barely manage 3 wins in a row, why do you think it's a good idea to put them against people who have been Flawless more times than most players have raid clears? I understand wanting to put people on the same # of wins against each other, but it doesn't change the fact that this system screws people over more than SBMM would. If it's not cheaters, it's tryhards who play this game religiously. If this is really the only way you can get more people to play Trials, you'd really be better off either removing Trials again until the cheaters are dealt with and the MM system is reworked, or removing the Lighthouse and putting all the loot in at once at Flawless levels. To me, this is basically you confessing that Trials has no future worth looking forward to. It doesn't require 7 wins in a row or Flawless (thank God), but you're basically doing the exact same thing as the pinnacle weapons and locking gear behind a gamemode no one likes unless they're consistently going Flawless. This won't affect gameplay, but did you forget how often people would complain how they were being "forced" to play gamemodes and use weapons they didn't want to use, sucked with, or weapons that were just bad so they could get a weapon so they would have a "fighting chance"? This won't affect gameplay, but it's still basically the same thing, but worse because of it's MM system and the barely addressed issue of cheaters on PC. I'll ask again, at what point in time did forcing players into a gamemode that can only be described as cancer if they want a cosmetic that knowing how you guys do things is most likely going to be character exclusive instead of an account-wide unlock seem like a good idea? I like the armor, I want the ornaments for all characters, but: I don't want to run 3 Master Ordeals, especially when my only character high enough is my hunter. I don't want to run T5 Alters of Sorrow 9 times. I don't want to even play Trials, much less have to win 21 matches with my 37% winrate in Trials (it will likely go down more). Also, my hunter is the only one that can compete. I don't want to play Pit of Heresy 3 times. Easy enough if a difficulty still hasn't been specified, but I still don't want to run 3 Nightmare Hunts, especially when console load times are slow enough as they are now. Edit: Now I've learned the still ridiculous requirements to upgrade the gear from rare to legendary, and I learn those objectives above are just to uhlock the glows, upgrading from legendary to majestic will be just as frustrating and time consuming. If these are character unlocks instead of account unlocks like they should be with grinds this bad, I'm sitting this one out after I get it on my hunter (or if I can bring myself to do it). Edit 2: There is a world of difference between asking (or demanding) free loot and pointing out the stupidity with a specific objective. I'm not asking for loot with no work, my main issue is the Trials part. The only incentives I have to go into Trials are good rolls for Astral, Summoner, and if I get a good enough group, the Flawless emblem for red glows on the gear. You can say it will be flooded with noobs, but guess what? The people who play this game religiously will be coming in droves as well. The only other problem I have with this is that knowing Bungie, the glows and other universal ornaments are all going to be character exclusive. Maybe try reading and understanding the post before responding, you're making yourselves look worse than me otherwise.
