one more stupid choice, just one more.
and im never playing this game.
iv played since d1, i remember thinking how cool this game COULD BE. so i stuck around. played all the content.
loved the rise of iron and age of triumph. loved having everything be available. and new ornaments THAT YOU COULDNT PAY FOR! you had to earn them. wanted the new VOG gear. play it! sure the game wasnt perfect, but it was miles better than d2 now.
then d2 launched it was plagued with repeated mistakes, and lies.
whether the lies where forced by order of activision i dont know, nor do i care anymore.
curse of osiris, i still want my money back. not even joking.
warmind, nothing but bandaid fixes everywhere. from catalysts for exotics to game design. EP was not match made and was instanced, and because of that, nobody played it. you had to cheese the game out and HOPE you matched with the other fireteam. ( sound familiar?)
forsaken, i honestly cant say anything terrible about it. but i expect that from a game that already charged me money for the jokes of "dlc" i had received prior. much like d1 age of triumph, there wasnt too much wrong. sure some QoL updates could have been nice but all in all, i enjoyed it. i would have loved there to be some more content on the shore though.
black armory, the first of the "season pass model". i dont have much to say about it. i did like it, it added a lot of quality changes to rewards. i liked being able to get a guaranteed weapon that i wanted after i completed the bounty.
season of the drifter. yea lets just leave that turd to drift away. it had some good ideas but, guess what? it seems like it was never tested. it felt like nobody bothered to balance the game mode of gambit/prime. and to this day! we have yet to receive any balance changes or updates to them.
season of opulence. loved it. it was fun! the menagerie is still to this day more fun that any strike or nightfall ( more so than the ordeal nightfalls, since i can use what ever i want when i wanted.)
shadow keep, the first of bng's independent work, free from activision. it was hyped with the whole play your way lines. what a lie it would turn out to be. i remember thinking how cool these mods would be on all my weapons! i was going crazy in my mind, like putting anti barrier on my sole survivor, and a unstoppable mod on my shotties, but little did i know, how forced i was in playing the game.
(im not too upset with the day one launch since they did have a lot going on with cross save and the move to steam. shit happens when your moving so many peaces at once.) but shadowkeep its self, it didnt offer much tbh. it had a reskin of the moon, a new dungeon. and a raid that was buggy as hell. but a shit ton of bounties, but i figured they would tune it down since it was very restrictive, how wrong i was...
season of i honestly cant remember, was it undying? i think that was tied to SK, i honestly cant remember what happened last season. which is a horrible freaking thing to say considering it just ended! it had saint 14 and something about osiris. annnnd thats about it. 3/10. garbage.
season of the worthless, granted we are still ongoing in this season but i just cant stand it. all the repeated mistakes, the lack of support, and the somehow worse version of the pillar thingy from last season. yet another mistake with EP 2.0, making the same mistakes as ever. the launch of trials was a joke and still has received 0 support into its loot structure and reward system. not to mention the abundance of cheaters running rampant here on pc.
season of -blam!- off already, i dont care if the new enemies are here, i do not care if they are just outside the system. -blam!- raspoopn, screw vovosuala, and F the people of the city. bungie is very good at making the seasons seem interesting but at its core, there nothing in terms of naratives. i just dont care. im tired of having to watch another byf video just to understand who the FK some people are, or what the fk is going on. why did osiris square the fk up with rasputin? never seen that again. or saint 14 saying hi to osiris? considering he hasnt seen him in fking years! nothing! there is always nothing! just vague statements and repeated mistakes over and over again.
im -blam!-ing tired of it.
downvote if you want for "complaining" but know that you and i paid for this shit. i want changes to be made NOW. like what was promised years ago. im not gonna settle for less, im not gonna pay for a garbage dlc that breaks something or just flat out dont work on release.
side note: fk tess and her mtx's. you already get 10$ per season, which is 30 for them all ( simple math) on top of the 40-60 dollar dlc every year. so you end up getting 70 BUCKS MINIMUM every year alone from the dlc. thats more than a complete game that actually works. so for the people -blam!- that "its only 10 dollars! calm down!" think before you speak.
that's all she wrote folks.

100% Season of the dying game started the downfall. Season of the yawn showed more. Season of the worthless is showing the fruits. Next season will be a home run with "everything comes together" and everyone will leave together. What I don't get is this blind ass acceptence of mediocrity, the community made it go this way. Bungie is a company and their language is MONEY. We first got FOMO season, now we are getting FOMO weapons. And so on, because we accept it. The seasons cost the same as the annual pass seasons but got less content, so you pay the same for less.. And then the seasons themselves are disposable even by Bungie, how much effort do people think they put into making something they throw out 3 months later? So shouldn't the seasons fund themselves? Eververse is a -blam!-ing lie and Buckfungie for that. Their last chance is the suppose to be great dlc coming fall.. I swear if we fight taken 2.0 this game will end it for most people. Who would have thought D2 is the killer of the Destiny franchise 😂

Edited by UK Mojo: 4/21/2020 10:11:36 AMIf Bungie lie about content the Developers are advertising and don't release what they state, could we as players take Legal action against the company as False advertisement? Besides we are Paying for Content? Buyers Legal rights vary across the continent

Edited by Ghostfire239: 4/21/2020 2:04:46 AMI don’t blame anyone for leaving. D2 feels like a shell of what it could be. D2 has improved in many since it launched, no one can deny that and in someways it has surpassed D1. However while D2 has surpassed D1 in many ways it doesn’t feel anywhere near as fun. Movement seems slow and boring across the board. Exotics just feel really lame. Crucible feels terribly boring in comparison to D1 (I primarily played PvP in both D1 and D2), and the gear in D2 just looks pathetically ugly in D2 in comparison to D1. I’m only playing D2 right now because some friends I used to play D1 with decided to get back into the game. I personally don’t particularly like playing this game anymore. I’m certain whatever the fall expansion is will be fun and get me back into the game again, but for now the current D2 is nothing but boring for me.

You finna quit over a twab?

Feels good to vent, doesn't it? I loved this game as well, until it became a job & they killed all the fun. Just walk away. I did & I am a lot happier. I kid you not, I picked up this Car Mechanic Simulator & I love it! I get to build some cool cars, I can mod the motors, test them, etc. It is not the greatest system, but I can put on a podcast or my music & just play! I missed playing & having fun, which it lets me do & it was cheap, so I don't care that it is not everything, plus they don't lie about what the game is! Don't wait anymore, just walk away & be happy. If they fix this game, you will hear about it & you can come back then.

Vidoc1 #1 Welcome to the alpha testers dismay. The bitter shhhhet brick they call a hersheys. Wall barriers. Wall barriers as far as the eye ican see

6 RepliesYou sound like the people that say they will quit smoking tomorrow or diet after new years.
-
1 ReplyNo point playing until D3 if that ever happens.
-
1 Replysave your breath. They will make another mistake and they didnt read a word of what you said. I haven't played in a month. Not missing it tbh.
-
🤡 Just leave already. This game is trash. Just like Luke Smith
-
Lol you might as well quit now bungie has done nothing but lie since Activision left, an they will continue to do it as its what they have become now, most games have seen an increase in activity the last 6 weeks, destiny 2 is hemorrhaging its player base at an alarming rate when people have nothing else to do but be at home.
-
just quit now , why wait
-
Lol With one more there will be 34664335533653353

1 ReplyYou should leave now, there most certainly be more lies. In case you haven’t noticed this developer, who I won’t call by their name, since they are certainly not the studio that created the best franchise ever, this is the developer now who is great at making hype trailers and not delivering.
-
4 RepliesOn more lie? They have been lying to us since day 1. "See that Mountain over there?"
-
12 RepliesNext season will see us get the watered down version of Gjallarhorn. They’ll hype it up insanely, slap it in as the reward for some half baked crappy quest and bobs your uncle, a sudden increase in player activity that they’ll use to justify the horrendous decisions that are being made at the top concerning gameplay and narrative direction.
-
Be prepared, because soon we’re gonna get another lie: Felwinter’s lie.
-
7 RepliesLies? I get that the game was a disappointment but we’re not quite in Randy Pitchford territory here.

Honestly just save yourself the time go ahead and uninstall D2 right now. The time you would've invested in the game before the ultimatum you stated breaks could be well spent anywhere else. Picking your nose. Scratching your ass then smelling your finger. Playing in traffic. These are all activities more rewarding than Destiny in its current form. Ive made this post, or one similar, multiple times over the last 3-4 months or so. Finally about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks ago I finally fulfilled my end of the bargain I set forth, but only after going back on my word many times to continue playing. I have 1,900 hours in D2 (top 3%) and 2,425 hours in the franchise total. My triumph score is just under 95,000, and have a few of the titles under my belt. I finally just couldn't take it anymore. If your serious about your post, just go ahead and save yourself some time before the inevitable, and maybe pick it back up this fall when the next expansion comes out. If you're only kind of serious bout this, prepare for disappointment and probably a good amount of rage. I couldn't be more serious about this. I would feel pretty comfortable betting an appendage, such as a pinky, that those are the only statistically viable or likely outcomes from such an ultimatum as yours. If you wrote this with any sincerity or seriousness you can languish and rage until you eventually quit, or you can pull the trigger now

98 RepliesJust a side note for all the “D1 was much better” people... ...how many of you still play D1? Thought so.
-
You should quit now....you have an unhealthy relationship with this game.
-
Ok intially I was like...this dude is rambling on about nothingggg but then it hit me about how right you are lol I mean At this point I have no fuking clue wtf is going on in this game And then I end up on YouTube and some neck beard tells me how to complete it for an rng But you’re not wrong You log in You do some dumb af mission for the reward you didn’t want Log off and possibly repeat it all over again I’ve gave this game a break for a little while here and I check the forums to see if anything has changed cause the core gameplay is so good and the pc port is so well done Maybe one day
-
No you won’t. You will still be here complaining and whining. I will make a note of the screen name and remind you in a few weeks.

1 ReplyEdited by Kouz_MC: 4/19/2020 9:26:25 PM>5000h D1 >600 D1 raids Started D2 with a lot of enthusiasm, left a few weeks later despite getting my first ever flawless. The game was simply bad. The story missions were terrible except the first and the last, the raid was light years away from my expectations, and the game looked like a downgraded recycled D1. Came back for the menagerie. Paid 30eur and got everything I missed for free. I liked the shore and dreaming city. Liked the Scorns only because it was a new enemy. I liked Riven raid a lot, which is imho the only quality raid in this sequel. I loved Mountaintop, thought it was a real addition to the game, unlike regular grenade launchers which have imho no room in this game when all other weapons don’t get affected by gravity. Still trying to understand how bows are not affected. I liked Shadowkeep because I was going back to the moon. Other than that the story was terrible. No coherence whatsoever, no finale, a raid that had nothing to do with the story, no emblematic boss or anything exciting. The champion mechanic was a good addition to the game even if the actual execution couldn’t have been more underwhelming. Play as you want? Couldn’t have been more BS. The dungeon disappointed me since I expected something closer to ST. It was nevertheless pleasant to be beat it without any guide, and the first and last areas are definitely beautiful and fun. I’m not even talking about vex offensive. I quit when the next season hit. Not even bothered to come back for the following one, and looking forward to the day I will want to play this game again, which I sadly don’t see happening anytime soon though since the people who made everything that I loved in this game are long gone. The forums are pretty much the only fun part of this game now, and if anything bungie has proven to me that they clearly “can’t deliver content in quality and time”. PS: watch me getting banned again for this statement.

Edited by Corrick II: 4/20/2020 2:24:57 PMDestiny’s biggest sin is lack of consistency. After a shaky but promising start, the game has flip-flopped from one knee-jerk attempt to the next to “try something new”, keep players interested and fix problems that could’ve been avoided with a little more thought and testing. This lack of consistent direction and leadership has resulted in violent pendulum swings from one extreme to the next, flooding the game with redundant activities, currency, and hit or miss mechanics, leaving players wondering just what the hell kind of game Destiny actually wants to be and distrustful of a game studio that seems to be making the whole thing up as they go.
