This a killing my resources. Glimmer, shards, planetary materials, and just to get one character to 1000. What’s the point of such a jump anyway?

1 ReplyWhat gets me is this incredible shift from lvl 400 cap at the end of D1 to now over 1000. This is so unnecessary and we would have been fine grinding to maybe just level 500 over the lifetime of D2 if done correctly. All these level raises each season is nothing but bounty grind to keep players logging in instead of making some real content. That's all it is and it's garbage.

If your smart about it, you shouldnt really need to waste that many resources to begin with. Just simply have or wear your highest light stuff but dont infuse anything, and simply keep getting higher level gear until your confortable with a level to start infusing your favorite armor sets
-
Because once everyone hits the cap, bungo will throw certain legendary weapons in the trash, then push the cap higher once again. I mean, they did it D1, who wasn't going to expect bungo to derank weapons again in D2? (Rip Fatebringer btw.) It's a endless cycle of never reaching the goal, yet when you do, game isn't worth playing cause you'll have everything. So what's the point, right? Or...with their CONSTANT tinkering with nerfs/buffs, ppl will use even more resources to what's "in" for that time till it gets needed or something else gets buffed. I can imagine bungo running on fumes keeping this comical repeat of the previous D1 content. I mean yes we've seen the same archetypes of guns, armor, "similar" materials on planets but I laughed when there was a particular mission that literally had the same audio recording that D1 had.

I'd say, start thinking before investing your entire inventory for useless infuses.
-
I mean u get at least 5 infusion things per week via gun smith bounties if u do it on all the characters, then the ones from the season pass if u have the paid version and then to buy one is 1 core, 10(?) mats and a thousand or so glimmer.... not seeing how ur going thru these so much

What’s the point of such a jump anyway?
Because if they left it at the 10 LL increase (+ artifact level at the time) - all the casuals would have had 0 chance at even touching Trials for probably the first month.

2 RepliesI didn't spend a single resource on the journey from old cap to new cap, what on earth are doing?

40 LL wouldn't be bad if there was enough Brand New content to do it in.
-
It was a 215 increase going into Forsaken...
-
You were able to get past 990 without powerful drops. The drops from the season pass scale with your artifact even past the hard cap, currently my armour is at 1001 from the pass it didn’t go past the hard cap last season.

Lol 40LL is nothing wym

No. Play the game.

Edited by PrimitiveAK: 3/25/2020 3:28:14 AMI was at 1000 on 2 characters in 3 days before the first trials week started on Friday. It’s really not that hard. Min max your character properly. YouTube exists for a reason. You’ll learn something. I have a job too and get a full 8 hours of sleep so I didn’t no-life the game for hours on end. You’re just not properly leveling bro lol.
-
Man it’s not that hard. Two seasons with just a 10 light jump and people immediately go soft to any form of light level grind.
-
I don't infuse beyond my main guns till I reach cap. Mainly cause I've had around 100 shards ever since Forsaken. Basically there is no point to get to 1000 nothing will change. Things might get slightly easier but everything around that Delta like the rest of the game isn't worth your time. You do you.

I only infuse when I reach the cap. Plenty resources left.
-
Just have everything drop lever us till we hit the cap. They to get rid of t tier 1,2,3 and stop forcing us to play a certain way
-
Woah it really takes that much to upgrade in such a short time? You better get there quick because we only have another 80 days to get to 1000 power level!
-
You running in a hamster wheel complaining that someone is pushing it further. How about coming out of it? You can do it!
-
it'll be ok. If you hoard everything, you'll just have stockpiles sitting in your inventory. You'll get everything back and more in time
