So I just logged onto my ps4 account and found out I was banned.
I recently activated cross save linking my ps4 and steam account. So far I have played the game 2 times about 30 minute sessions each on M&K, which I am regretting. Both play sessions I ran around in the edz and did crucible. The first of which I left, the second match ended up being last place on the loosing team. Logged back onto my ps4 an saw I was banned, with no reason. Apparently they don’t give reasons from what I read they just ban you.
So I did some research and read the code of conduct to see what I could have been banned for, only thing that really seems to count would be mods, and yes I do have mods running on my pc because I have games on my steam account and battle.net account that I use mods on. But why did I get banned for 182499 days (500 years).Did the mods I have running on my pc affect my gameplay in destiny and give me an unfair advantage, no it did not, did it affect the game play of others players in the community, No it did not. I mean if me coming last place on the loosing team is me affecting other players, and is worth a ban, then I should have been banned years ago.
I don’t think Bungie did rigorous checks like they say they do in their code of conduct and much I left to be desired. I just hope it’s not a computer that does a scan and sends out bans to people just because mods are running in the background and not checking to see if they actually affect your gameplay in anyway.
Or maybe it is a sign from the gods, and the push I needed to play something else after 2 years.
Thanks, Disappointed

1 ReplyWell.....look in the bright side. When you DO get to log back in you will actually be in the real golden age of Destiny 2 universe which didn’t end until the year 2562-ish. Luckyyyyyyyy!
-
1 ReplySo what character will you start new and fresh?
-
1 ReplyActually, your coming in last place on the losing team did negatively affect me; I'm tired of carrying you potatoes in the crucible (joking but not joking).
-
1 ReplyDang, cheaters always try to give long winded reasons how theyre "innocent". So long cheater
-
10 RepliesGood, I hope all you pc players get banned and then the game dissapears from pc forever so Bungie can stop wasting resources and man power on that version and put all that energy back into the console versions where it belongs.
-
1 ReplyI shouldn't laugh but the 500 years bit made me chuckle Lesson is...
don't play on PC....

500 years
2 RepliesThis is why i stay off pc
-
3 RepliesTbh count yourself lucky the game at the moment is about as compelling as stabbing your scrotum with a screwdriver.

1 ReplyEdited by Sweet Lew 88: 1/6/2020 12:06:16 AMSounds like you have unapproved programs running in the background. It doesnt matter if you use them to cheat in Destiny. Unapproved is unapproved. Sorry for your loss. They definitely make sure a human checks that you are guilty before dropping the ban hammer.

Your account was flagged for running certain types of programs and then your ban was manually placed. There’s no appeal. Gotta start over and I’d stay off of D2 on PC if I were you.

You got banned for using mods running in the background, even if they weren’t affecting Destiny directly they could still detect them in use. The reason your PS4 account got banned is purely because you used crosssave, one account gets banned then they all do. If that wasn’t the case then people could just activate crosssave, cheat on PC and if they get banned they go back to console

2 RepliesThis is why I don't even try to play on PC. I am somewhat tech savvy, but not that much that I know how.to recognize all the programs bungo deems potential cheating; and I am not risking a ban because Bungo decides to scan my computer for unapproved software.
-
That's why I have been hesitant to migrate to pc, I have loads of downloaded programs on my PC but i'm to ignorant to differentiate what programs are acceptable and what would get me banned, not to mention how to completly uninstall or keep programs from starting up or running.
-
Wow. That uninstall button is looking sexier by the minute.

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

4 RepliesThat’s what you got banned for. Bungie will ban you for playing the game while you have what they consider cheat software running in the background in your pc. And there is no appeal process. You’re done.

5 RepliesDoing something once / 1 time does not lead to a restriction or ban unless you are using code injecting software or cheating in some way. Connection based restrictions or bans you are given a warning about your connection first before any restriction or ban is places. Bungie investigates accounts before they hand out any restrictions or bans. After investigating your account, they found a reason. They will not remove this restriction/ban. On the occasions they do respond, the answer will give a date and a very brief reason which will be one of the following below. 1. Cheating 2. Any software being detected by Destiny while it's running. These could include Trainers, Aimbots, Auto-fire, Mods, Graphics Hacks, Network Accelerators anything that injects code into games. This includes any cheats etc that you use for other games DESTINY 2 PC AND THIRD-PARTY APPLICATION FEATURE COMPATIBILITY Also see Steam Service Agreement section 4. ONLINE CONDUCT, CHEATING, AND ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR 3. An unstable connection is having an impact on other players. Any programs like cheat engine, regardless of game, regardless of intentions, will get you automatically permanently banned. They state that in the help section about what will get you banned. Why are you running cheat engine for a game you're not even playing anyway?
-
what other game did you have mods running on?
