I have not shown interest in any politics since like ever unless it’s in a history class and then again history classes only go to 9/11 and that’s about it rn

5 RepliesThere are two political establishments in America. One that supports rapid development in technological, ecological, and societal progression through government spending. And another that supports, or rather is supported by, the field of militaristic and religious dogma which does not believe in the intrusive role of government in domestic affairs. These two parties are backed and funded by their groups/businesses/private/foreign interests. If one succeeds, it is to the detriment of the other. Power is a zero sum game at this level. Not to mention the foreign relationships that are formed through each party’s policies. Right now the militaristic and industrial right considers DT to be their best spokesperson. The left doesn’t know who they are because they’re stretched too thin, and they have no candidates to rally all their people around. There is also a stark difference in liberal vs conservative ideology. One that puts their foot on the gas and one that cruises and minds the dials. Our empire is electing to either put our foot on the gas, which strains the nation’s businesses and people alike, or to just let the wheels turn and keep an eye on things, alleviating the burden on businesses, but also doing nothing to handout too much to the public. The dance is eternal and every tribe, nation, or empire always has these struggles. There is likely never a right or wrong way to go, and those with the knowledge and experience understand this, and seek a position of personal gain without personal liability. Every now and then you find people willing to put their name on the pending disasters or glory ahead, and that’s who we vote to elect.

I don't know much about his "exploits" or his actions in office, but he is kind of a low class person in his attitude and personality. Don't know if he's actually getting kicked out of office or not \_(•_•)_/

Edited by AnAverageGamer: 12/19/2019 7:22:58 PMTrump was impeached for 1) Withholding military aid and a White House meeting from Ukraine until they publicly announced an investigation into Joe Biden/Burisma 2) Obstructing Congress’s investigation into the above by ordering relevant witnesses to not cooperate/testify and relevant parts of the government to not cooperate

Edited by cRaZyT101: 12/19/2019 1:45:09 AMArticles of Impeachment have been filed for Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Justice. Abuse of Power- Withholding Congressional aid from an ally at war for potential personal gain. Obstruction of Justice- Refusing to cooperate with the impeachment inquiry and signaling members of the White House to defy Congressional subpoenas.

5 RepliesThey are trying to impeach him (and will fail) because they cannot beat him in 2020 at the polls. They are seething and foaming at the mouth that he is actually being a president to the people of the United States. Putting America first and not lining the democrats/socialists/leftist corrupt pockets. Leftists are a hivemind of -blam!- with no opinions of their own. They download a narrative from jew owned major new media outlets. "Orange man bad!!" >:((((( "orange man so bad"

Because sometimes the peaches need a win.

Because it’s very exclusive. Nobody knows impeachment like him. Nobody gets impeached like him.

30 RepliesSimple. 1. Trump is a lifelong con man who got caught soliciting the help of a foreign government in an effort to help him win the 2020 election by smearing the person he thought was going to to be his opponent. That is a violation of campaign finance law. Same laws that his lawyer is serving a 3 year sentence in prison now for violating in 2016. (Michael Cohen) 2. Trump held up hundreds of billions of dollars in vital military aid to Ukraine (who is fighting a Russian backed insurgency in the eastern part of their country) to pressure Ukraine into participating in this smear. The withholding of the aid without Congressional approval is a violation of The Impound Control Act of 1974. Two senior staffers, including a lawyer at The Office of Budget Management resigned in protest because they felt they were being asked to participate in a criminal act. Using the aid to pressure the Ukrainians was both both and act of extortion and soliciting a bribery. Both are felonies. 3. Once he was caught Trump abused the powers of his office to prevent Congress from investigating what happened. Trump shamelessly statutes that he would not cooperate in any way. He ordered EVERYONE in the Executive Branch to ignore Congressional subpoenas and not testify at the hearings. He ordered people to not turnover any subpoenaed documents. Those who did cooperate with Congress did so in defiance of Presidential ordered. It’s as if you got arrested for a crime and refused to show up for trial. Or got sued in A civil case and just ignored the courts orders. You’d be arrested for contempt. Roger Stone—a lifelong friend of Trump and political dirty trickster—-was convicted last month of Contempt of Congress due to lying under oath before Congress. He too is going to prison. Congress has the constitutional right to oversee the actions of the Executive Branch and pursue/punish corruption. Under Article 1. Not only is the President guilty of obstruction of justice (a felony) in trying to coverup this crime. His shameless refusal to cooperate in any way is a direct assault on the Constitution, Congressional oversight and Seperation of Powers. 4. Trump has his lawyers arguing in court that Article 2 basically gives him the power to do whatever he wants. That not only can he not be held accountable for any illegal acts, that he cannot even be INVESTIGATED to see if any illegal acts took place. In short his lawyers are saying he is above the law, and is basically free to govern as a dictator or a King. In short. President Trump is precisely the sort of person the Founding Fathers FEARED would one day become President. Some one thoroughly corrupt and unwilling to respect the Constitution. That is why the added the power to Impeach and remove such a rogue from office. So anyone who understands what Trump has been doing and cares about continuing to live in a democracy, agrees that it is a constitutional obligation to impeach this man. The problem is that Republicans have become so corrupted by power themselves that they simply don’t care that he’s corrupt and don’t care that he’s trying to destroy the oversight function of Congress and any ability to fight corruption in the Executive Branch. All the way to The Oval Office. The GOP continues to sell its soul to the Devil in the name of power, and power for its own sake.

I believe the original purpose of impeachment was in case a president were to "render himself obnoxious", or so I've heard.
-
16 RepliesBecause the Democrats want him out of office. They've voted to impeach him countless times. It's a shit show.
-
Impeachment just means he’s being put on trial, not removed from office. That being said, he probably won’t be removed from office because it has to go through the house and the senate, and the senate is majority republican right now.

1 ReplyThe OP is using a clever technique called "process of elimination": since he knows the only things people here can give him are wrong answers, he can eventually figure out what is right simply by it not being said

5 RepliesBecause the idiots in office refuse to accept he won the election. Trump being elected just shows how out of touch and how selfish, moronic and flat out frustrating politics has gotten. Trump only really got elected because people are fed up with current day politics where they are more worried about their own pocket book and power than making the country better.

The charges are abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
that is the answer. The final vote was along party lines. With a couple Democrats voting against 2-3. A single Republican voted in favor of impeachment but retracted his vote. The charges move on to the Senate for a conviction. The chief justice John Roberts will reside over the trial. 67 votes are needed in the Republican majority branch. If it's a tie John Roberts gets the deciding vote. Early on they're might be a intial vote to dismiss the charges. They need 51 votes to do that after questioning.
12 RepliesFor corruption charges that make Filipino politicians look like saints. Is it true? Senior officials of the administration have gone on the record and claimed that the corruption charges are true on live TV and corroborated it on news articles online. Even with this compelling evidence, many who are Republicans claim that Dems are trying to do a power play and take the presidency from them. Unless Mike Pence became a Democrat overnight, I'm pretty sure if Trump is impeached and removed from office, there will still be a Republican as president for at least one more year. Then again, I'm not a poli sci major, and the last poli sci class I took was my college level poli sci class for the gen ed requirement.

3 RepliesHasn’t America’s Left and Dems been claiming impeachment since he was elected?
-
To please woke froth from splintering the DNC into 2 parties. Even though the Democrats know this is futile... They're gambling hope on this smearing Trump's incumbent advantage enough for 2020 because like another user said below; "Their candidates suck ass".
-
1. They know that their candidates are terrible and this is last-ditch effort to try and prevent him from reelection. 2. They’ve been planning to do this since before he was elected. 3. They know even if they do impeach, it will be dead on arrival in the Senate and Republicans might even drag it out to pull some of their candidates off the campaign trail. They know he won’t be removed and are using this to generate as much negative press about him as possible just to slightly better their chances for their garbage candidates.
