Please can we start putting shaders on exotic weapons sometimes I like My exotic to match
-
The funny thing is if you inspect a shader from the collections page it also puts it on the exotic weapon
-
4 RepliesCan we also get custom/editing shaders.

It would be nice, but I’m guessing Eververse has something to do with this.

4 RepliesOne word: Ornaments Exotic weapons kinda resembles a Harley. It looks OK in the store, but you will have a hard time finding someone who owns one without any cosmetic change at all. All ornaments doesn't look better than the originals, but most of them makes the weapon look "cooler" in the details at least. You'd like your precious weapon to look a bit different than what everybody has, so you have the option of buying an ornament if it's important enough to you. If you could put shaders on it, you could potentially make it look cooler than an ornament. Tess would rage and sue Bungie for loss of business :)

They also already programmed them to work with shaders, it doesn’t make sense that they haven’t implemented it
Please can we start putting shaders on exotic weapons sometimes I like My exotic to match
I’m guessing that’s what Eververse is so hated (and ridiculously overpriced). Only way to customize exotics. :/

I'd love the option to shade my exotic weapons, we can with armor and in shader preview we can see it preview on the weapon so from that we know shaders are compatible with the exotics already they just dont have a slot for it, +1 for this request on my end (I like making things match a theme too).
-
They will never do it. They want to release ornaments with dif. colors to make you buy them if you want to match. For them it's business. In the end we either support it by buying it, or don't to let our voices be heard. If people buy the Eververse things (getting super expensive), then they will never do stuff like this.
-
Agreed they already let us do it with exotic armor so there's no reason we shouldn't be able to do it on exotic weapons as well.
-
4 RepliesMods too
-
If armor, why not weapons?
-
1 ReplyI want mods on them first. My Thorn would love an icarus grip

Edited by RPColten: 11/29/2019 2:55:24 AMTo everyone who claims that the most likely reason is because of cash-shop ornaments, just remember that Bungie has ornaments for legendary weapons as well and they were received well since they appear quite popular. Exotic armours also have ornaments, and exotic armours were allowed to use shaders back during D1. Shaders on exotic weapons wouldn't interfere with the weapons sound or visual profile, which means the ease of loadout transparency remains. The option to add shaders on top of ornaments could possibly even be a benefit as it would be an option for those that don't like the static colour palette applied to the ornament but do like the aesthetic/model. ...and it's not like exotic weapons can't use shaders since we all know they can be previewed with them, so it's not a technical limitation.

If we can have ornaments and shaders on exotic armour, we can have it on exotic weapons. Of you preview a shader you can usually see it applied on a kinetic exotic so we know it’s not impossible 😂

2 RepliesThey wont do that, BC they need to sell ornament in the Eververse store for silver. Bye mate

Shader support and mod support. Make it happen Bungie.
