Am I to understand that you don't like ANY challenges to your gameplay then?
I play horror games SPECIFICALLY because they are outside of my comfort zone. So no, outside of personal ancedote, what you just said does not apply.
Am I to understand that you don't like ANY challenges to your gameplay then?
Never said this. But I play games because Real Life is the biggest challenge I'm doing. Do you even know how annoying it is for me to live with other humans together? Sometimes I would prefer to be not even born instead of living in this society. Games are my medicine to deal with my terrible life, my terrible handycaps (both physical and psychological) and with the fact that I have to find my own purpose in a world I don't even like.
I play horror games SPECIFICALLY because they are outside of my comfort zone.
Cool for you. But does that mean EVERYONE has to do that? No, absolutely not. Games are a payed service we use. Not a simple challenge we can agree on without any price tied to it.
So no, outside of personal ancedote, what you just said does not apply.
Maybe in your restriced point of view.

1. you stated this by saying you want to be in your comfort zone while gaming. Challenges, by definition, take you out of that comfort zone. So, something with your point doesn't mesh with reality and its not reality that has the issue there. 2. We all have our own issues. I have crippling social anxiety and depression. While gaming is an escape for me (and you) it is not a solution. If you haven't already, I would greatly recommend seeking professional help. I cannot detail its benefits enough. If you need help finding resources, my DMs are always open. 3. No it doesn't mean EVERYONE has to. But these notions that having to do a minor thing you wouldn't normally do being grounds for this type of anger and vitriol (not from you necessary) is silly. just. plain. silly. Perfect products do not exist and thinking that you bought one that will ALWAYS match what YOU want serves no purpose but to set up for disappointment. 4. Your last point is classic projection. How is my point of view restricted when I am literally saying that going out of your comfort zone momentarily isn't a big deal? You know what IS a restricted POV? Kicking and screaming when you are minorly inconvenienced, as evidenced by the posts today about this quest.
While gaming is an escape for me (and you) it is not a solution. My mind works just different in General compared to normal humans. It's called Autism Asperger-Syndrome.
Perfect products do not exist and thinking that you bought one that will ALWAYS match what YOU want serves no purpose but to set up for disappointment.
I know that. But that is not an excuse for a developer to not do their best to make it the best fiting experience for the customers.
How is my point of view restricted
With that comment I meant, compared to my point of view, with different experiences, you have not the same opinion/point of view as me. Maybe I should have said "with your opinion" instead of "your limited point of view", not gonna lie… My english skills sometimes lack very hard.
