So you want to push your politics on us now?
How about none of it has a place in video games, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for putting it there, what happened to bungie?
And to the ninja that locked the other post regarding this matter, remember that respecting people’s opinions, goes both ways. (Pun absolutely intended)

5 RepliesYou can choose to buy a pin, you can choose to wear it, and you can choose to equip the emblem. I call that freedom of choice. How is that pushing? I don't consider myself a member of any minority group, but my former clan was literally made up of kids of all shades of skin and colors of the rainbow. They got along wonderfully with the Asperger dude, the destiny dads and moms and this here thumbless old fart, and we had hella fun even when leeroying raids or getting our asses handed to us in PvP. Perhaps you could try to learn something from them?

Thanks for your feedback, but we feel differently. As the TWAB said, "Our games become places where people—all kinds of people—can gather to share meaningful experiences. One of the most important aspects of friendship is acceptance." This is why our studio is always in the Seattle Pride Parade and why we chose to make a Pride pin and emblem. It's okay if you choose to not participate (your Destiny game history already shows this), but that won't stop us from this initiative and future ones that we feel strongly about.

This game and this platform belongs to bungie and bungie alone. If they want to express something, then they have the right to do so on THEIR platform. If you don't like that, deal with it or go play another game. Nothing is being forced on you because you didn't have to read that part of the twab.

1 ReplyThe game and world is populated with a diverse cast of characters, many of which are gay or bi. While it is not a major characteristic of the game and it's world It's something I like. It doesn't come off as pandering for the most part. Just another detail of the character. Most the time it's stuff you wouldn't know unless you dug into the lore. Bungie has never felt "political" in that regard to me. I feel like offering a pin and an emblem to celebrate Pride/coming out day where the proceeds are donated to a good cause doesn't hurt anyone. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Tbh if you're so bigoted that this sort of thing makes you want to not support the game and leave it's community I'd be really happy to see you go. ❤
