10 RepliesI mean the Og Vog armor was a reskin of the vangaurd armor and the triumph armor was a re skin of the reskined vog armor. Everyone is -blam!- about reskins meanwhile they reskined their precious for the age of triumphs. Tbh if the armor has to be a reskin so they can spend more time and money making new weapons for the raid and the raid itself... you know the things that players actually see on their screen... then people can deal with it. People are acting like bungie has an infinite number of resources to make these things happen, but for all we know they may had to RE SKIN AND ADD ONTO THE MOON AS WELL AS BRINGING THE ENTIRETY OF THE BLACK GARDEN IN. People seriously don't understand how much time goes into game development, I wonder how many all nighters the bungie team has had to do to pull this game out of the mire, i mean they have been chomping at the bit to improve the game since warmind, literally having to rebuild this game from the bottom up along with creating gambit. Id like to see half the people who talk shit about the devs build a game from scratch ..... break it down. rebuild it. EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS and doing it in a manner that keeps the game playable. "tHe dEVz dOnt pLey ThEir gAmE"....... eventhough most of the dev team has an account and posts regularly on twitter and other social medias about HOW MUCH THEY PLAY. Honestly if these people now what "good raid armor looks like " then why dont they put their money where their mouth is and try doing bungies job for a day .... they wont last 10 minutes.

4 RepliesBecause making a less appealing raid set pushes even more people to Eververse.
-
Probably because it’s easier to reskin something that already exists in d2 compared to porting something from d1.
-
1 ReplyI agree, and I Love the Warlock Crota set also... Freaking love the Crota warlock helmet! So bad ass

Vex raid??? Sorry I don’t keep up with all the advertising and crap but did you say Vex Raid???? Does that mean Mythoclast is coming back ??? That would be awesome .

5 RepliesThe thing that blows my mind is the vex armor from the season pass would make more sense for the raid. But I understand putting the best looking armor behind season passes instead of activities...even if I hate it as a player.

23 RepliesEdited by ProbablyJosh: 9/10/2019 11:53:06 AMI decided to jump on D1 for a little nostalgia trip ended up making a new character and starting again from scratch cos I realised something almost everything is better in D1 if I could just have the D2 subclasses and weapon slots (so I can actually snipe in crucible without ice breaker or no land) I would uninstall D2 I mean cmon the tower is better the raids are better and the armour is actually unique and cool my new level 19 D1 warlock looks better than 90% of D2 endgame warlock sets EDIT: this brought a lot of salt to the plate and I don’t have time to reply to every comment so let me just say this, it is totally fine wether you disagree or agree everyone just calm down lmao

I'd definitely love to see a reboot of the OG VoG armor. One of the most iconic sets in destiny history IMO.

Sorry your post has been removed due to its violation of terms: Code/24 "Too intelligent, and requires more than our maximum 5 minutes of work" We hope you understand. ~Bungie

Why they haven’t brought over a lot of the old armor designs is beyond me. I assumed it was for some legal reason, like D1 content is tied to a D1 purchase, but that obviously isn’t the case since they’ve brought the weapons forward. I’ve hoped for a while that they’d bring up the Spektar armor and some of the old Hunter gear, but gave that up once they started reskinning current gear. Still, I’ll always prefer they come up with something new rather than reskin anything. The armor design has been hit or miss for the past year or so but I’m always up for seeing what they can do.

Edited by HoboMegatron: 9/10/2019 5:56:10 PMArmor design has been in a weird place ever since D2 launched. From hunters having toe boots, to titans having refrigerators on their shoulders, to warlocks all having skirts instead of trench coats, all of it was a lot of weird choices. The battle pass armor should have been the raid armor. It looks amazing.

If you're going to reskin a complaint, why not make it a more important one, like about QoL changes such as a vendor refresh. My rebuttal is all I got.
-
Well because VOG armor looks good and destiny 2 armor is trash so it wouldn't go with that trend.
-
Although I don't support reskins, this one would be better than what we are getting. Sorry to say but Bungie is out of ideas, they keep recycling old content and bringing content from D1.
-
I get what you are saying but at this point they have already brought so much stuff over from D1 it’s sickening. Feels a hell a lot more like D1.5 than D2 sometimes.

New Bungie hates old Bungie
-
It was already a reskin...

3 RepliesVanilla vog armor blows, it only looked cool with the ornaments

The armor design department, ran out of gas years ago.

Cry more please.

12 RepliesStill whining over raid armor???

They always ship the minimal ship able product. They won’t put ALL good stuff in shadow keep, Good armour will be rolled out when they can act like they are putting it in because they have”listened to the community” They always have the same mo at bongo.
-
If Bungie balanced the heart of D1 with the piecemeal schedule of D2 we might have something magical.

1 ReplyContents hard... unless it deals with Tess at Eververse

1 ReplyProbably because I prefer simple armor without all the trinkets and flair, but WotM armor is probably my all time favorite. The black with glowing red piping looked awesome too. As simple as it was, it still really stood out in the tower.

3 Replies'Cause the Titan armor gave free wifi and that is broken a/f.
