That's it. Just what the title says.
Edit: wow this got more attention than I thought. And by more I mean any at all haha. I figured I should add a statement. In all seriousness, I love Destiny. I love the universe, the lore, the gameplay, and the community. It is frustrating to see how quickly we turn on each other and on the game. I know it’s not perfect, and I know a lot of improvements can be made, but I think Bungie has done a fantastic job and I hope the developers know their work is appreciated. It is good to provide feedback, but I wish people would choose to do it in a productive and constructive fashion. A lot of changes are coming and for now I am optimistic.
Edit 2: I wanted to provide some quick context for this post. I originally posted this as a joke after looking through the forums for information about the 2.5.2.2 patch notes. I rarely go to the forums and when I do I see so much hate. So I posted this. Judging from the response, many also share my frustration. I hope that this can serve as a reminder that the environment we build impacts all of our experiences. I understand that people have valid concerns with the state of the game. Destiny has always been a franchise that has best been characterized as "having potential". I truly believe that Bungie wants to make fantastic content and I think they have and will continue to achieve that goal. They need feedback, so please continue providing it, but please do so respectfully. I hope everyone is able to have the "Destiny Experience" that they desire now and in the following months and years.

The people that like the game don’t bother with the forums because they don’t want to see the people crying all the time.

35 Repliesthe community is just a reflection of the state of the game

Basically made this same post like 6 months ago and got called a communist snoflake lol (btw I'm more right leaning politically so it made me laugh that they got that from my post.)

I’ve played since the beginning and lfg a lot and the only play with toxicity is this forums. It’s usually only the same 40 kids or so that keep making hate posts for attention but there are real people every once and awhile.

1 ReplyI can understand people in the forums do get frustrated at the neglect from Bungie. Which I do think Dmg and Cozmo do see the forums, they just don't respond to some but they see the forums. Part of the forums that really bother me is people not understanding that a Game Company needs income to support the game long-term. They then assume that Bungie is money hungry and go on a six paragraph post acting like they know what they're doing as if their there. I don't like MTX, I don't like company buisness in my hobby, but they are there to keep my hobby going strong. We live in a world where we can choose what we spend our money on, if you don't like MTX then keep your money, the game isn't enhance by that emote on Eververse.

3 RepliesCalling people toxic by writing a toxic post, hypocrite?

We are the side of the community that wants real answers /truth and not to be lied to by a company that has -blam!-ed up more times than we can count... company that we've supportes for year. Forget the salt we have, we supported. Reddit... Reddit is the side that blindly hypes and looks at the positive and ignores the negative (problems) side of the game. Member when bungie thought they were gods and you felt like they said -blam!- your feedback b.net? Reddit told "Lisa testaburger" she was bad as -blam!-. She started shitting on us, her true friends. Now we are the "Toxic trolls" because we aren't telling bungie.... I mean Lisa testaburger what she wants to hear when she's trying to sell us something. ..... Wtaf am I taking about!?!!?

1 ReplyThe hate comes from Bungie’s egregious monetisation and scams along with their baffling, dumb, lazy decisions. So long as they continue to ignore feedback and insert scummy tactics, there will always be loyal customers to call them out (not to be confused with the hopeless fanboys who defend them no matter what). We deserve better for our money; this is not a free service. Don’t settle for less, fight for more.

2 RepliesYeah both sides biting at each others throats. Have a problem that's obvious with the game? You're the problem it's a perfect game. Praise minor things it does right? Stfu fanboy.

13 RepliesThere's 2 kinds of people on the forums: (10%)One gives constructive criticism and wants to see the game improve. (90%)The other wants to see the game crash and burn because somehow the game killed their family or something, and when asked why they still linger it's always: i CAn dO WhATeVeR i wAnT When i wANt fAnBOY.

1 ReplyAbsolutely. I would delete the app if I didn’t have a clan to run. I’m all for criticism when it’s needed. But CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Not this toxic stuff that people do. Or when people don’t know how to read and just jump to conclusions.

4 RepliesThe forums are a cesspool of whiny little -blam!- who’s parents never told them no and never taught them how to think critically

the forums are a cesspool of people complaining that the game is too hard and asking for things to be changed that shouldnt be changed. The subreddit is decent.

Edited by EmptyLuckBox: 8/30/2019 8:38:51 PM4v1 in comp today, I honestly didn't even notice this at first as i was having my morning coffee and half asleep . Groggy eyed i see my blueberries standing around in a corner emoting and such, they spared the solo guy .... faith some what restored in humanity and community . Edit, cuz it's been said to me i'm toxic very often, and if you are calling me toxic you should look in the mirror very closely, because with me, on these forums, on the internet, in person or in game, you get what you give 110% of the time and I have 46 years of mastering douchebaggery .
