On middle tree arcstrider after sprinting the same amount of distance required as shoulder charge, you have to slide and activate the melee to do a cool arcstaff uppercut but only end up doing around 150 damage??? Considering that it shares the same range and setup as shoulder charge, on top of the fact that you have to slide, wouldn’t be better if we made this a ohk instead of throwing knives? That way every class can have a ohk ability in the crucible!
Compromise: The further away you are, the less damage it does. So if you’re in handheld nova/shoulder charge range it kills you in one hit, any further and the damage drops. Also, for those of you suggesting the AoE makes it too strong, NEWS FLASH, every shoulder charge available is also an AoE attack.
No! because Hunters already have X so Y isn’t balanced is not an argument.
Nope. Hunters are too puny to have any melee that is a ohk.

IMO I don't think this ability should exist for hunter. A hunter shouldn't play out the same as a titan. If this ability was an OHK, then titan would be obsolete in crucible, considering hunters would be far superior.

19 RepliesEdited by ZeroSix: 8/28/2019 4:58:40 PMHow bout no. Jesus do you guys even think before you decide to post these things? You can literally activate uppercut almost instantly, and it is a ranged aoe. In fact you wouldn literally activate it in any direction, kill almost a whole point of ppl, land, and roll to get your melee back because the latency of it connecting. You would always have the ability to trade for free, with basically anyone within 10 meters. It would literally be like a pocket super, better than a super in some cases. Edit: I give up. Most of the players I am arguing with are players who don't understand the game whatsoever.

1 ReplyNo! because Hunters already have BB that activates faster than any "one use" supers like both novas, missile, tether, and ward. so ohk possible arcstrider middle tree melee is broken
-
While it would be nice for the uppercut to be one hit, I can agree that it shouldn't be one hit for the entire length it travels. That would be as dumb as making our throwing knives one hit. The uppercut should have been one hit when the staff makes contact, but the shockwave would be the way it is now.
-
21 RepliesHunters have the absolute best movement in the game for pvp. They have invisibility. Ohk on top of that would be too much. While we're on the subject of ohk, i think warlock HHSN needs a better audio cue. You can hear titans cue for running with charge active, but you barely hear anything if you push into a warlock with his grenade cooked.
-
Within base melee range, sure. Not the entire line though
-
21 RepliesBetter yet, make shoulder charge and handheld supernova not one shot so that all abilities are in the game to compliment your weapons instead of replacing them.
-
4 RepliesAs a middle tree arc hunter main I can say that move is right where it should be. You don't have to sprint as long as a shoulder charge requires (need a titan to confirm), and it's got crazy range. Also it hits everybody, versus concentrating on one target. With practice you can even curve that bad boy around a corner. Making it a OHK would be too powerful.
-
9 RepliesEverybody is for all buffs no nerfs until it comes to making hunters as strong as bottom tree striker...

Forget ohk throwing knives.
Forget ohk on a hunter
Grow up
2 RepliesThe only buff that hunters need is for top tree golden gun to return to its D1 condition. Other than that, warlocks and titans should be brought up to the hunter level in pvp. There’s a reason most pvp matches are filled with hunters.....
-
yeah lets make the ranged aoe melee one shot that seems like a good idea
-
I'd be ok with it only being a one hit kill if the staff itself makes contact. The arc shockwave shouldn't.
-
Titans get OHK shoulder charge for the same reason why they get healing melees and grenades that regenerate grenade energy. It's very simple for younger kids to do well with and makes Titans a good entry point for people who haven't played FPS games before.
kidding/not kidding
-
I don’t see how any titan could disagree with you. I’m all for it.
-
I agree! I can see how OHK throwing knives could get out of hand, especially since it's possible to have 2 at a time. But the arcstrider uppercut isnt as spammable, and because it requires even more setup than a titan charge I think it's safe to say it wouldnt be overpowered while still helling to make that subclass path more viable
-
Its also very tricky to land sometimes, I found it weird it didn’t one shot either. Titans are just getting all the love in D2 which is a shame because I always preach I want all classes to be viable and strong in their own way without feeling cheated.
-
Please nerf tether.

1 ReplyNo, don't forget shit, hunters need both buffed. And buff warlocks melee too. ... Stop with these have measure asks. Go all in, or not at all.
-
I would be ok with it if it was at the base of the uppercut
-
I missed the 1-hit melee that warlocks have. Is that why they have by far the slowest melee speed yet the same range as other classes?
-
6 RepliesHow about getting trip mines to stick to enemies again?
-
3 RepliesI 100% agree. This SHOULD be a OHK move. Titans get one that acts in the same way.
-
I dunno the added mobility kinda evens things out not too mention 50 damage is pretty easy to follow up on with a good aerial weapon. Not too mention the potential to hit multiple people, dont think shoulder charge can ohk a group of guardians. Although i havent been lucky enough to get the mighty peregri- sorry i mean PEREGRINE GRRREEEEEAAAAAVVVEEESSS yet so no idea what theyre capable of.
-
4 RepliesYes, it should be a OHK ability. People saying it shouldn't, are fools. If you don't kill the guardian with that punch, you are wide open and pretty much dead. That's why nobody uses it. High risk with little reward.
