It’s their lazy design philosophy. Why make new gear more compelling if you can just knee-cap old gear and destroy them so people have to buy your shitty new content? This is why Bungie only talks about the next DLC and not what comes after it; they know will make it irrelevant next year, and the cycle will continue with their half-assed ‘releases.’
