It’s their lazy design philosophy. Why make new gear more compelling if you can just knee-cap old gear and destroy them so people have to buy your shitty new content?
This is why Bungie only talks about the next DLC and not what comes after it; they know will make it irrelevant next year, and the cycle will continue with their half-assed ‘releases.’

I am sick of you dumb Bungie fanboys sticking your nose in every legitimate criticism of your precious scamming company. If you don’t like to hear the truth then GTFO and find a little safe space bubble so you can circle jerk about how great getting ripped off feels like. Idiot trash can.

Knee cap old gear? The new gear is just better, because its newer it has more stuff. Nothing is stopping you from equipping your old stuff. It's not like they took your old armor removed a perk and the mod slot to make it a y1 version then just added those things to the y3 armor. The game is evolving and you want all your old stuff to magically become better just cause you feel entitled and want free shit without having to grind? It's surprising how simple your mind works. Edited by Lord Kielron: 7/29/2019 3:59:03 PMThey did kind of make mods and mod slots on old yr1 gear obsolete when yr2 gear was released. I don’t doubt them doing that again for shadowkeep.
